The room was nice. What I saw in the pictures is what we got. The pool and hot tub were absolutely disgusting, the water was so cloudy and there was all kinds of stuff floating in them both. We did use the pull out bed in the couch. I went and asked for a sheet, blanket and pillow. I was given a sheet that didn’t fit the bed, a duvet insert with no cover and a pillow case for a pillow that was to small. Overall wasn’t impressed.

The staff there are amazing. The room was very clean. The facility does need some minor updates and the breakfasts definitely needs some work. I also love that it has a nice clean pool and a very nice bar.

Nice place. Quiet

Check-in time was 3:00 and couldn’t get into room until 4:15 which caused us to miss our nephews wedding.

I booked room in advance. When I arrived, they would not accept 3rd party reservations. I had to book a hotel room 30 minutes away due to all other local hotels being fully booked.

Convenient location. Room wasn't available until 8PM, instead of 4 PM check in time. No fresh air in room. Dirty common area floors.

I was surprised they did not list a gym on the site, but they do indeed have one right above and overlooking the pool. Some cardio equipment and weights. Cozy place, great price, slept comfortably.

We came to Michigan for a grandfather’s funeral. After an exhausting trip, we were placed in a room that over looked their bar. Little did we know that weekend they did karaoke until 3 am. When we requested another room, we waited until after 12:30 am the next morning. Leaving us exhausted once again. Finally after being placed in a better room, we were able to get good sleep. The halls were filled with that CBD like smoke. Just very dissatisfied all together.

Upon arrival they were overbooked, knew it, and still gave us a key for an *already occupied* room (in many decades of traveling, this is the first time this has happened to me). When brought to their attention, they moved us to a "pool view" room (only differing from the prior room in that you could see the pool) and attempted to charge us more than double the rate we had already paid in advance. I protested as this was their error, not ours. They relented, but now I find they've attempted an upcharge after the fact. Aside from that issue, the property is very clean, the breakfast is top-notch (served from the onsite restaurant) and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful.

The free breakfast was good and convenient!

One elevator was out. Not enough light in the room. Key card had to be reset twice.

We had a great stay here! The hotel is large with ample room in the lobby, restaurant, and pool. The beds are comfortable and facility is clean. We enjoyed the large pool room, though we wished the pool towel were available by the pool instead of at the front desk. We enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast on the weekend and enjoyed the restaurant food for a late dinner. I would stay again.

This was a good hotel, but needs some TLC. Front desk staff was very friendly. Pool area needs some work, particularly the hot tub, but water was warm and we enjoyed ourselves. Pool towels are a joke though. Not only do you have to get them from the front desk, they're the size of a tea towel. Had a great time at the bar in the evening.

Noisy and dogs barking at night room had no microwave when asked for one was told sarcastically that someone would be bringing one never received it

I liked it had the indoor pool and lobby area for my family to come visit us there. We traveled in from Florida and didn't want to drive around to everyone in Michigan. They were doing renovations and new systems for room keys. Once they get everything in order i would love to see the differences.

Brandi was very helpful and courteous. She gave us coupons to the steakhouse across the street, where we had an excellent meal. Also the staff was very nice at the Hotel. We would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel. Perfect for people with disabilities and families. Very clean. Very accommodating. Horrible experience at the Marriott next door. Had to leave after one night of a 3-day stay and came over to the gateway. Couldn't have been happier with the amenities, accessibility and staff. Highly recommend

Great hotel really clean

Upon arriving, the front desk clerk was absent minded (seemed to like gossip more than working). She was slow at checking us in. Finally got to our room, it seemed ok but the floor was wet beside one of the beds. We asked for our group to be put together but out of 6 rooms, we weren’t put together. Some on the 3rd floor, some on the first floor but not all together like we requested. The pool was gross, it had a shiny film on it like it was dirty. The hot tub was lukewarm. You had to ask for towels for it at the front desk but many didn’t know that. They frequently ran out of towels for it. The breakfast was only served from 7am to 10 am. We had to leave my 6:30 in the morning for our day and didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast until our second morning there. Compared to other hotels, the breakfast was ok. Although after eating there, a few people in our group suffered from diarrhea several times from what we ate there. Don’t really recommend it. Staff were not friendly except for one of the housekeepers (an older woman, she was nice). Sad, we won’t stay there again. Very disappointing.
