Liked the hotel but didnt like the pay to park. $25 a night to park and the ticket to get in/out didn't work half the time. Almost felt like i couldn't leave bc it would cost me more money.

It was a quick night stay before flight. Service and Staff were phenomenal and the shuttle back and forth to airport was perfect. Park car on premises was a bonus while away.

Well i've been here many times, and this was not the best. Wasn't the worst though. Had to switch rooms, but they handled that quickly because they knew they had too. Housekeeping also skipped me, had to ask again and leave my room again to get it cleaned. Big bonus was the EV chargers on site. That alone might have me booking with them again.

I booked the room that was for Wednesday the 9th, but when I got there they said I had no reservation and no available rooms. I said I know I booked it. No answer. So I had to book a different hotel that night. When I checked the hotels.com app I saw it was booked for Sunday the 13th. The room I picked was non-refundable. So I picked two other dates that I knew I would need a room in that area and tried to change the reservation to one of those dates. For both of them the app said no rooms were available in that hotel. I called the hotel and they said sure, we have plenty of rooms. When I asked them about changing the date they said it could only be done through you. So they gave me an 800 number to try and call you I did try….and was on hold for over two hours until I just gave up. Now I’m sure I did something wrong when first booking the room at the Doubletree Newark, but not being able to change the reservation either through your app or over the phone was incredibly frustrating. Congrats. You got my money…. …..last….time…..ever.

Let’s start with the good point breakfast is really good , but you’ll have to beg for your coupon at the front desk even if you ve paid for it and is supposed to be given at the check in . The lobby and the gym are really pleasant as well . Bad points : The room , nothing to do with the picture, it s a complete lie , old, 0 light , rusted bathroom and you hear everything , I ve asked for a change to get what I had on the pic they said it s fully booked they can t do anything for me. The worst is that the hotel has 0 security policy , they welcome a bunch of teen literally screaming and making a mess the whole night while we were trying to sleep, they could do nothing cause they had no security on the hotel , they even tried to open my door and they just did nothing . Instead of put them in a different place so they can make all the noise they want, they spread them in the hotel so we actually paid a room to be disturbed and not sleep

The internet was not working which was unfortunate.

This hotel has lost sight of customer service. You get ignored at the front desk. Empty tables you can’t sit at. Negative level service at breakfast. These folks are phoning it in.

I didn’t like the fact that parking was charged. Beds were double not queen, 1 room, 4 adults not enough cups, nor coffee. Receptionists were helpful.
