A very central location, the concierge staff were incredibly helpful. We felt pampered the whole trip! We also received massages, facials and hand/foot treatments from the spa on premises. All were very relaxing and the staff professional. I felt there could be more preparation of tools in the room that the staff needed but it did not hinder the benefits of the treatment.

This is an old, elegant hotel that has been modernized to a high level of comfort. It is well located on Princes Street near Waverley train station. The service was outstanding, from Kelly at check in to Andrew and the entire concierge team. The spa was also excellent. I was dealing with multiple unexpected complications and wanted a hotel where I could confidently get some help while relaxing a bit. The Balmoral was perfect.

The staff and service were excellent and the property is just beautiful. It was recently renovated so the rooms are nicely appointed and updated. The facade of the building is resplendent and majestic and stands out in the city. I highly recommend this property if you want to be close to everything.

The balmoral is the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. We were able to walk everywhere and got fabulous recommendations from the front desk for shopping and restaurants. The hospitality was incredible and the room was lovely. Would highly recommend

My husband and I went on our honeymoon here and were met with professionalism, courtesy, and kindness everywhere. Also, the spa facilities such as gym and pool were top notch. Perfect temperatured water, the best equipment, nothing was lacking. Also, the building is gorgeous. In summary: We've been to many great hotels all over the world but this was the best we've ever been too.

Beautiful property. Check-in was difficult. Staff attempted to place me in a room next to the elevator. I had to return to the desk and request another room. Better location though no view. Some staff in the restaurant/bar were unfriendly and did not appear to know how to interact with a "live" human being. Staff at the concierge and Scotch bar were very nice.

Fantastic Hotel with amazing service. The whole property is outstanding in every way. If you want a great workout with an amazing spa afterwards this is the place. Good gym layout dumbbell and a good squat rack with bar and plate. Workout area is broken into 4 rooms giving it a spacious and private feel when working out. The steam room was wonderful with a clean fragrance of mint in the air. The breakfast was good but the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff at this hotel were outstanding. Friendly and extremely attentive. The Bar at the Prince served incredible oysters and excellent Korean chicken wings. But the true highlight was the drinks and service. This bar has a great mature vibe with extremely good staff. Lastly when you enter into the Lobby they have a huge arrangement of flowers that give this area a marvellous not overpowering fragrance that continues to add to the ambiance.

Absolutely beautiful, perfect service, 10 steps ahead of what any guest would want. I’ve been lucky to stay at amazingly beautiful resorts but hands down this hotel was the best from a beautiful environment to meticulous care. The time they spent making sure my wife’s blow dryer would work was amazing.

The hotel and location was excellent. Train station and lots of nearby attractions
