I have stayed here previously and wanted to give the hotel another chance as previous stays didn’t go well. First the hotel is a quick and staring walking from central station, 3 seconds from Adam square and royal palace, shops and other sites such as Anne frank house. The staff were friendly and welcoming and happy to assist where they could. However on checking I felt the need to mention in front of other guests that our room “was already paid in full via Expedia” this was not necessary and almost felt like shaming guests who hadn’t cooked direct with the hotel. We noticed this also happened with other guests when checking in, all staff need to say is your stay is already paid in full, how it was booked/paid is of no one else’s concern. Hotel has been refurbed a while ago but besides corridors looking nice, rooms and gym need renewal urgently. We had a premium room but it didn’t feel very premium to be honest. There is no real atmosphere given size of lobby and no open bar area. The gym was not replaced when other works were completed so we didn’t use the gym as it was so old. Room was very noisy due to housekeeping staff not being considerate of guests sleeping, throwing bags of linen or similar against walls, doors slamming, carts and hoovers dragged and banging against walls and doors, completely ignorant of people sleeping on holiday. Our room also wasn’t cleaned out penultimate day despite having sign on door, same happened on my last stay.

I really expected a lot more from a Swissôtel .i would say that specially housekeeping has a lot of work to do! Restaurant staff could try to be friendly.

Very clean, very comfortable and spacious rooms, with amazing location. WOuld definitely stay again.

Loved the location of this hotel as there are so many restaurants and attractions close by. This location does require a bike ride, bus, or taxi/uber to get to the Heineken Experience, Van Gogh Museum, and Rijksmuseum. The only down side is the shower/tub, specifically the guard when taking a shower. Due to the positioning on the retractable shower head, water does leak through the guard to create puddling on the floor. The hotel does provide coffee, tea, iron/ironing board, 2 free glass water, and a mini bar for purchase. There is air conditioning.

The property is in a good location and the rooms are Bye too small but the lighting was poor. There was only small one window in the room and it looked out to another building so not enough light. Upon check-in, we were given two twin beds instead of a king, which the front desk told me that Expedia has “force booked” so they didn’t have the king bed available as originally booked. I also accidentally left a blouse in the room and I have reached out a few times via email and phone for the past 3 days. They keep telling me they are still waiting to hear back from Housekeeping. Still waiting as I write this review. Other hotels have been more responsive and helpful in my experience. Overall, I think this hotel was overpriced. If anything, location was pretty good and the fresh orange juice at breakfast was probably the best about this hotel.

Great hotel in a great location. Only complaint is with the tub/shower. It was very slippery and not a flat surface for taking a shower. Would have been great for a tub bath, but didn't use it for that. Adequate breakfast items.
