I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The young man that checked me in was especially friendly and efficient. It was worth staying at this hotel to have this experience. I also enjoyed the pool, sauna, and view.

The room faces the railroad, so it wasn't quiet. However, it wasn't shared in advance. The check-in was not friendly, and we were checked in only after signing the BW hotel membership. No hot oatmeal, as is customary around the world, was served for breakfast.

Interesting that I have only just seem that I might have been able to use the airport shuttle bus rather than spend £65 getting from the airport to the hotel. Nice hotel but if you stay there make sure that you avoid a room at the back of the building. High speed trains rattle through every hour of the night. If you are a light sleeper you might be disturbed.

The pool is 10 euro, for 1 night it was a good stay, close to the airport, kids enjoyed the pool and there were food delivery options.

Quick overnight stay while driving south… booked late, just one hour before arrival. Hotel is a typical business hotel, a bit worn. The floor in the room was incorrectly laid and had raised in all joints which looked and felt weird. The beds were excellent and the window could be opened for a very good nights sleep. The parking was ridicously expensive at 18 Euro with no other options availlable in the vicinity. Breakfast was very nice.

The room was too warm, and you can not sleep with the windows opened due to the noise of the trains (the hotel faces the rail paths). So, I did not have a good sleeps during the whole stay. And this is not good when you travel for work. The card to open the door did not always work. And everytime it didn't I had to go back to the reception. The kettle was not working and not repaired at the first request.

We stayed only one night and needed it only for a night sleep. There was no parking option except for the parking garage under the hotel. For this, again with no other option, they charged another 18 euros. Bad service!

The room was great, neat and spacious. Yet the front of the building is outdated and as if falling apart. Staff is slow and ignorant of service. We have a non-working water boiler in our room to make coffe/tea. When we called reception, we were told to come down to hot water... wrong answer! In such cases you bring coffee up. When going down to reception fornhot water I was directed to the restaurant where I encountered personel that didn't seem to understand some basic English. After repeating my request I was directed to a machine to make my own coffee. When checking out I asked the lady at the frontdesk to make note of the broken waterboiler... she nodded and that's it... she didn't write down or make a note of it. Questionable service all over.

If you're looking for a place to get a restful night's sleep, Best Western and Plaza hotels are definitely not the places to go. I learned this the hard way after a recent stay at the Best Western Plaza hotel in Darmstadt. In the middle of the night, we were abruptly awoken by a loud electrical bang. It turns out there was an electrical hazard in the hotel. The noise was so loud that it was impossible to sleep through it (80-90db). When I spoke to the night receptionist about the situation, he told me to take some ear plugs. The problem wasn't solved until an hour later. Needless to say, it was a very disruptive and unpleasant experience. When we checked out the next day, the day receptionist was rude when I told him we were unhappy with our stay. He rudely threw us a free parking ticket and acted like that should be thanking him up for the terrible experience we had. I would avoid any Best Western or Plaza hotel in the future. If you're looking for a place to stay, it would be better to sleep in your car than stay at one of these hotels.

Nice hotel but right next to the train station. Very noisy.
