Parkside was fairly centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the city. It was nice to be a bit further away from the city and offered a quiet space amongst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Starting to really show its age and somewhat run down in places, but good value for what it cost. I would say that don't rely on the internet for anything though – it was abysmal and i couldn't do any work on the Hotel wifi.

Hotel itself is great, staff were helpful and friendly but the area outside the hotel can feel a bit unsafe at times. Really convenient for central Auckland though.

I paid for parking prior but it was not guaranteed when we got there and we had to park else where. It would also be good to know that there is a bond on arrival

Location close to city approx 10min walk to CBD. Spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed to rest.

Excellent location, close to Aotea Centre. Red bus stops very close to the front door. Very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The property was situated on a hill so walking home every day was very tiring. But the hotel was clean, spacious for 4 people and had a nice little kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, sink and stove). I would recommend to others if they don't mind walking up hills at the end of the day.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. I had booked a multi-night stay but had to cut my trip short due to an emergency. My son had an accident, and I had to urgently return to Australia from New Zealand. When I informed the on-site manager, of the situation, he assured me in person that I would receive a refund for the remaining nights. Trusting his word, I left the country. However, once I was back in Australia, I was shocked to find that he had changed his mind and refused to refund the money as promised. This kind of unprofessional and unethical behavior is unacceptable. It's one thing to face an unfortunate situation, but to have the hotel add to the stress by reneging on their word is beyond frustrating. I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious and not rely on verbal promises made by the management at this hotel. I definitely wouldn’t recommend booking at this hotel as they will steal your money and give you broken promises. I hope this review helps others avoid the same disappointing experience I had.

Excellent customer service. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and close to plenty of eateries and activities. The only downside to that is hearing sirens quite loudly in the night. Next time I'll just take ear plugs! A great stay.
