We loved the access to the shore path

We had a lakeside room with a balcony. My husband had been recovering from a long illness and hospitalization, we were looking for a quiet place to relax and this was exactly what we wanted. The weather was very nice so we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and the beautiful lake view. There is no breakfast at the hotel but several nice breakfast options within a few blocks. Shops were also in walking distance. We also enjoyed the 2 hour boat tour on the lake. There was a large carnival a block from our hotel that started on our last night, so our balcony wasn’t so quiet, but really didn’t hear it inside our room.

My husband had a lovely time staying at Bella Vista. Perfect location for enjoying the Venetian Fest and Lake Geneva overall. Will definitely be coming back again.

The website says they have a bar. (They do not) Neither TV worked. No bottled water in room as stated. No water pressure. Have to go to front desk if you want ice. No towels in kitchen area. For the price, we expected more.

Nice but definitely showing its age. Hasn't been updated in 25 years and some stuff is legit falling apart. Staff are very helpful. It is extremely clean if a little worn. Looks like they are renovating some areas. great location and quiet.

Liked that the lake was right across the street and they had a dock that you could sit on! The path to walk around the lake was right there.

We liked Everything including the area of the hotel it was convenient for shopping in front of the lake.

The staff was exceptionally nice, and the room was inviting and spacious. It was fairly clean, but there was a beer can lying on its side on the balcony, which was a little disconcerting. We were surprised to get a resort fee when we checked in. I guess I missed that when we booked (if we were even aware - I’m not sure we were made aware of it, which I am not happy about), and I think that was for use of the pool/sauna. The pool and sauna were in the basement and were very small and somewhat gloomy. There was also a hot tub, at least it was a really good temperature, but again, pretty gloomy down there. What was nice about our room is that the balcony overlooked the lake. What was bad about our balcony was that there were no privacy walls between the balconies so when somebody in the next rooms stepped out on their balconies, we were next to each other, literally, because the balconies are small. That meant when I went to have my coffee in the morning out on the balcony, there is a big hairy guy sitting just inches away from me on one side (not my husband), and on the other side, one of the cleaning staff was brushing cobwebs off the balcony railing with a broom, not conducive to a peaceful morning. The hotel is within great walking distance to most of downtown Lake Geneva, including the cruises, so that was really terrific. We never had to move the car once. We loved that. Overall, we were pleased and again, the staff was really friendly and pleasant, unusually nice.

Had a one bedroom king suite, but the bed was literally right next to the bed, making it very uncomfortable for the person trying to sleep there. Bathroom wss nice sized with a jacuzzi tub. Room came stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, a small microwave and fridge.

This is a great location and very convenient to make your attractions. Probably one of the best spots in town. We got two rooms facing the lake and two facing the back. I would pay quite a bit extra to face the lake because I think it’s worth the view. The suites are a little bit smaller than we thought but still manageable. I do think they have different size suites, even for the same number of people. We just happened to get the smaller one.
