Unfortunately our room was over the garage and the metal doors upon opening and closing, made a lot of noise. Also at 7 am water is delivered by truck and that was quite disturbing.

Very nice property about 10 minutes walk from the Santo Domingo church. Our room was huge with 2 sofas and an outside area with 2 lounge chairs. It was good for us as we wanted to avoid the noise of downtown. The walk was fine except for one last quiet block at night, although we always felt very safe.

The staff service was EXCELLENT; always happily willing to help in any way. The rooms were GREAT; spacious, super clean, functional with everything you need, including a little balcony with a hammock (Junior Studio room). Also, the fact that the hotel includes parking (limited spaces), was very helpful, since streets are narrow and didn't feel good about parking our rental car there. Not all hotels offer this. The area around the property felt safe, and had many dining options within walking distance. I would definitely stay in this hotel again! P.S. The only tiny wrinkle was, that there is an event venue a few doors down. The Saturday night we stayed there, music from that venue was very loud. We always travel with a (sleep) sound machine and earplugs, so that helped =)

We loved this boutique property. Stunningly beautiful, incredible food and absolutely the best staff . Each member brings so much to the team. And a great location. Close enough to walk to all but tucked down a quiet alley.

The property is absolutely beautiful, unfortunately they could not accommodate a party of six and had to pay for another room. It was all siblings, and we were hoping to hang out throughout our stay. We offered to pay more, but they would not allow it!!

Great location, walkable distance to Oaxaca's downtown area, Santo Domingo Church, dining, shopping, yet secluded on a tranquil alley. Rare match of location, excellent customer service, superb facilities and attention to detail. My wife and I had a terrific time at El Callejon. We visited other hotel facilities in the area and we think it will be very difficult to match the quality of this facility. Definitively a must have experience while in Oaxaca,

The attention to detail in the art and architecture of the property is impressive, and the gardens and outdoor spaces are welcoming and peaceful. Each and every staff person was very friendly and helpful in offering suggestions of what to do and see for our first visit to Oaxaca. Beautiful boutique hotel. Small, quaint and gorgeous. The rooms are the perfect size, clean and beautiful decorated. The staff super friendly and helpful. Very close to the zocalo and stores.
