Wonderful small hotel in a perfect location…close enough to town to easily walk but tucked away on a private cliff to escape the hustle of downtown. Staff was AMAZING and this is now our go-to hotel in Sorrento!

Great location, amazing views from the cliff to the marina. Great breakfast and dinners with the stunning views. Also has access to the secluded beach. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Tonnerella. The location is perfect, 10 minute walk into Sorrento, great beach and absolutely stunning views. Our balcony was amazing. The restaurant was also delicious! We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Staff were incredibly helpful and very nice. No pool and a lot of walking to town but it’s quiet and clean and the views were breathtaking. We had dinner on the terrace twice and the food and the service were excellent but the views were amazing.

The property is very clean and everyone is super nice. The pictures on the website are exactly as it is. The property is on the water and the views are breathtaking. Mount Vesuvius is in the background. The on-site restaurant is very fine dining and the food is excellent. Great wine selection also. if I get a chance to come back to Sorrento, I will definitely stay here!

We became ill in Naples the day before arrival and had to delay our stay by one night. The hotel was able to assign us the same room which was the top suite in the facility at the same cost for a Friday night with no penalty for cancellation. Our room was unbelievable with a wrap-around balcony, bedstyle lounge outdoor shower and a magnificent view of the harbor, bay and Vesuvius. The room was elgant with tiled floors and a small table and chairs to enjoy wine and cheese while watching the seagulls fly below us at sunset. Breakfast was lovely and the short 8 minute walk downhill to Sorrento restaurants , shops churches was rewarding and invigorating. Staff was first class and helpful by setting up a taxi ride to Pompeii upon departure. On a final note the rainhead i our hot tub spa shower was broken and the staff had it entirely replaced and fixed despite the discovery on a Friday nght at 6 pm. To have that service performed in a matter of hours while we had dinner in town is a testament to the excellence of the hotel staff. We have stayed at fabulous hotels with breathtaking views from our rooms in Ireland, Hawaii, France and Sonoma Valley the Hotel Tonnarella is permanently ensconced alongside those memories.

Property has a wonderful view looking back at Sorrento. The beach area was not well maintained. The walls are thin and could hear the room above using the toilet and all sounds associated with that. Could hear the room next door having sex. Not the most enjoyable experience. It is walkable to town and had a pretty view. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Great friendly staff and grounds. We had a private terrace outside our room with a view that might have made it the best hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. Breakfast was extremely well done with many choices of foods. The front desk was pleasant and efficient and always had answers to our questions. They summoned cabs for us on request also.

The location was a 15 min walk to the city center and on the peak of a beautiful cliff that give you the most amazing view of Sorrento the marinas and the Mediterranean. The patio off of our room had room for 20 people with 2 chase loungers and a table with chairs and an umbrella. The glass doorwall to the patio was HUGe and gave you an amazing view while open or closed. the small room had (2) flat screen TV's, a mini bar, a place to make in room coffee or tea and a very updated lighting and cooling system. This was the best room of our 14 day Italy vacation. If we return to Sorrento this will be our only choice for a hotel.

Everything was great. This hotel is a outside the busy, touristy area of Sorrento, so it is nice and quiet. The views are beautiful and the restaurant had the best fried shrimp and calamari ever!
