If you have realistic expectations, this is a great stay— it’s an older roadside inn that hasn’t been updated much aesthetically, but it’s clean and the rooms are actually really quiet for being right beside the highway. The Haida Way is a great spot in the morning for a good greasy spoon breakfast on your way back out. Will stay again.

With the current cost of hotel accommodation this was good value for the money. It was convenient for Chemainus, the golf club, theatre and if travelling between the north and south of the Island. We stayed in a 2 bedroom room - convenient as we were a 3 adult group. Storage was a little sparse, but, as we were only staying for the one night, this was not really a problem. It would have been useful to have had a lamp in the bedroom as the light switch had to be accessed from the hall way. Check on cups, cutlery etc if you are a group of 4. Some features in the motel room were updated but we will look forward to staying in one of the advertised 'newly renovated' rooms on another visit. This motel has potential! Pretty garden at the front of the motel and I noticed there was a barbecue available (which we did not use). The person on the front desk was, in her words,'new' but she was very friendly and helpful.

While it may not be much to look at from the outside, its a great little place to stay. Very quiet, very clean and friendly staff. Air conditioning worked great and the beds were very comfortable. We stayed there once before, and the experience then was great as well. We will definitely stay there again.

Location of the property is great. Office hours are not suitable for proper operation of a motel especially if the owners live on site.

Some guy that appeared to live there started yelling at me and my dog when my food was deliver. "Kid" at the front desk was the only enjoyable part of the experience. I travel the island on a regular basis and most definitely will NEVER STAY HERE again. Over & Out

This older looking hotel was impressive inside the rooms . Clean and comfortable for Business . Wifi was strong and it was priced right for being so close to Duncan and Chemainus .will stay there again

It's... fine. Great service on check in. Older building. Having rooms with a separate bedroom was nice. Decent stop. Would stay again if we're in need.

Great little motel. A little outdated but the staff our super friendly. There is a bbq you can use and why not try your luck at horse shoes.
