Great clean hotel. Quiet. Close to everything. Beds are extremely comfy.

Nearby some nice restaurants and Lake Michigan!

The staff at Fairfield Inn Marriott was very friendly and accommodating. While the room amenities felt a bit dated, everything was clean and well-maintained

Musty smell in the room. Worst bed and worst pillows I ever slept on in any hotel, motel, airbnb or vacation rental . So bad .i highly recommend updating the bedding and pillows .

The room was very large and clean, the shower was good, it had 2 rooms and 2 televisions, and breakfast was good, complete with eggs, sausage and bagels.

Room was outdated. Breakfast buffet had cold food and very limited food options. (Hampton Inn has much better food and variety)

We were extremely disappointed in this property. We spent over 700 dollars for two nights and I in no way felt it was worth it. The pros: parking was fine, the breakfast was expansive enough for a wide variety of tastes, the location was great for the different beaches and restaurants in the area. The cons: our room was dirty (food on the floor, dust in the corners, hair on the bathroom floor, dirty bathtub), the rooms/halls were wrecked (carpet pulled up in places and a trip hazard, our ceiling showed clear evidence of previous water damage), the pool was disgusting (we own a pool, they aren’t supposed to be cloudy and murky like that). However I would say the biggest con was some of the staff. Now some were great, kind, no issues. But specifically, our dead bolt wouldn’t go in and we couldn’t close our door. When I called the front desk they asked if we had tried ABC to fix it and we had. She seemed very annoyed to come up and said “this happens all the time,” which I find a little odd that your locks to your doors are broken that frequent but whatever. This woman came up and knocked, didn’t acknowledge me, reached around me to the door handle, smacked it, and then left. I felt very dismissed and was a little upset with how rude she was. It’s not my fault your doors don’t work and you had to come up one level to fix it. And that may seem very small and first world, but when you add it all together (this happened towards the end of our trip), I was done. we wont come back

Pro: Very nice, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, very short drive to downtown area, decent breakfast. Con: Nick on tub that made tub look like it was dirty. No fan in bathroom. Bath tub soap, shampoo & conditioner dispeners ran out.

The staff is really nice, however the stay was horrible. We checked in late and the sofa bed had dead bugs under and the sofa bed mattress was a hot mess. Since it was late, the front desk staff could not change it. The next day manager came and made the change, we wanted to leave but there was no where in New Buffalo to stay as everything was booked. We were told that we will get full refund from Hotels.com, still pending that. But manager also stated that he will let us stay the 2 extra nights and give points. Once we checked out there are no points. Maybe it was my fault as I may have heard him wrong. I do not recommend this place for families who will use the sofa bed.
