Overall the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. It would have been nice if the outdoor pool was heated and the firepit was on every night. The breakfast buffet could have been replished more frequently as we had to wait a bit for the omlettes.

Check-in and check-out were easy. Decent continental breakfast, though local coffee shops and breakfast spots are tough to beat, so it's advantage is that it's free and on-site. The nightly 8pm fresh-baked cookie ritual was a pleasant surprise. The property was clean, like all Hampton Inns I've visited. The beds were less comfortable than expected. It wasn't loud after 10pm. The proximity to good restaurants and activities is a plus, right on Main Street in West Yarmouth and close to Main Street in Hyannis.

Perfect location and nice space. Breakfast had a nice spread and they baked fresh cookies daily at 8pm which was a hit with the kids. Staff were all extremely friendly.

My family and I were very excited to return here as we have stayed in previous years and had a wonderful experience. Much to our surprise, we were very disappointed this time. There were a lot of hair found in the beds among the comforter and stains on the sheets. The tub faucet leaked and completely flew off from the tub when we tried to start the shower. The people working at the desk tried helping us as much as possible but it seems that for the money and the quality that you expect a Hampton inn to provide it was disappointing and very discouraging. A handyman did show up and was extremely helpful with our tub situation as they did not have another room to move us to and it took 24 hours before it was fixed. The continental breakfast was extremely disappointing as well. We chose to stay at a Hilton hotel to avoid being disappointed but unfortunately this was not the case. I don’t mind spending the money for the quality but the quality was not to be had this time.

The AC in my room was not working. Talked to the front desk, the gentleman checked the room and told me that he would be right back. I never saw him again. Thirty minutes later I came down to ask, and another gentleman told me that they had not forgotten me, just needed time. At 11:30 pm, I came down again, and apparently both people promised to deal with the situation left. The new lady behind the counter told me she had no knowledge about the situation, and could not do anything. Since I booked through Expedia, she could not give me a discount. She offered me some free snack. At a hot summer night, I need a working AC, and I do not think free snack will do the trick. I understand the maintenance is not onsite, and the staff members probably could not do anything about the AC. However, I would appreciate more open communications and not give false hope for me waiting for 1 hour at late night in my room waiting for someone to show up to look at the AC. This is a terrible experience.

So this is a big plus! But what was most disappointing was the breakfast area and food - the area is too small to accommodate the overflow of guests at this time of year. It was wall to wall people. And most of the food was either gone or picked over. We were on a time crunch, so we could not wait for a table or for the food to replenish. Otherwise, average stay but would suggest looking elsewhere for breakfast :)

Gotta add my own 2 cents that this is a winner - super easy to deal with, a no-sweat hotel.

The first is that the bed was really uncomfortable and the second is that my room was not cleaned the entire 3 nights/4 days of my stay. When I went to the front desk to ask if my room could be cleaned I was told that it was too late to request cleaning. It was 11:45 am and the housekeepers were still on my floor cleaning other rooms. With that said, with the exception of that one rude staff member, everyone else is warm and welcoming. We will stay again. Hampton Inn is by far the best dog friendly hotel on the Cape.
