Beautifully clean, modern and new hotel

I arrived at the hotel early due to my flight schedule and was allowed to check-in prior to midday (usually it's 2pm), which I found very helpful. Initially there was an issue with the bedsheets as, upon inspection, I noticed a number of marks / stains on them. I reported this to reception and they immediately sent the housekeeping staff to resolve the issue, even opening the replacement linen in front of me to check it was all clean, which I found reassuring. Following that, I visited the on-site restaurant and found an extensive menu of good quality meals at a very reasonable price. I then went for a walk into the centre of Vientiane (about 15 minutes away) and returned to the hotel restaurant for my second meals of the day. The lady who served me there was very hospitable, even using the dictation feature on her mobile phone translation app to ensure I could communicate the relevant details of how I would like my food to be prepared (allergies, preferences, etc). In total I ate 4 cooked meals in the restaurant, alongside two smoothies and two bottles of water, with the total bill being less than £12! Excellent value for money. As I was only staying one night, I arranged with the reception staff to order me a taxi for early the following morning to meet my connection flight at nearby Wattay International Airport. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely return again next time I'm in Laos.

It's okay - the design of the rooms is a bit odd, but it's pretty modern as well, which is nice. The area around the hotel has nothing, you either need to walk for 30 mins or take a taxi to get anywhere. The lock of another room on our floor was broken and was beeping all the time, which was pretty annoying. The house in front of the hotel has roosters, so you'll probably wake up at 5:30am

Nice hotel. Very clean. Furnishings were modern but cheap staff was excellent and helpful. The morning breakfast was limited probanly because of low occupancy

Our room was enormous, pool was clean with refreshing cool water limit sun yours though. I will go back next year for longer stay.

The decor of the hotel was very nice with a cute pool. Right outside the hotel is a convenient store and small bar. The vanity/toilet area and shower area were quite large. Great shower pressure. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast. Coffee was of high quality. There was a complete selection of condiments for the rice soup. Lots of fresh fruits. Only complaint is that the tv only had 1 working channel and was unwatchable and in Chinese.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! This hotel looked brand new, so clean and the bed and pillows the most comfortable I’ve slept in, in South East Asia! The bedroom was spacious and modern. The air conditioning worked well, there was great water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower. The bathroom was well outfitted with a separate shower area. The towels and linens were beautiful and new. It was nice to have a wardrobe with a safe, plus a separate desk and chair to sit and drink coffee. The breakfast was included and was so good, with lots of selection of local and western. I also ate in the cafe for a late lunch and the food was and service was excellent! The staff was well trained, professional and very friendly! I got many helpful tips from the front desk about the buses and temples to visit. The hotel provided free shuttle service to the riverfront area, as well as the city centre or airport area, for a small fee. They also provided bicycles to rent but gave it to me as complimentary when I checked out. Their bicycles were in excellent condition as well. They also had a beautiful pool and gym but I didn’t use either. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! It’s fantastic!

It was my first hotel at Laos and S2 hotel was just an amazing hotel. Everything was so good, clean room which was very spacy, and kind & welcoming front staff. I will absolutely visit this one again:)

A very nice and comfortable hotel in quiet Vientiane. Great pool and nice breakfast selection. The only complaint I had was the location as it is far from everything and out of the tourist area - so not much around outside. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to the downtown area and offers a very fair priced ride to the airport ($9 USD).
