Amazing property with exceptional conditions! Great location and elevated by how professional. friendly and courteous all the staff are. Highly recommend and this will now be my go-to hotel for my visits to Porto.

Nice hotel with a ton of history in a great place in the city. Close to the main shopping district and 5 to 10 minutes to river. Very nice hotel and nice people working there.

We were told at 9pm on the way to Porto that the hotel was overbooked. We were moved to a sister hotel in a completely different area and style of hotel. This was completely unacceptable.

We were met by the manager and the concierge escorted to our room and gave an overview of anything we might need. They had lovely dinner reservation suggestions as well as places to visit. Would highly recommend this hotel as well as location.

Unbelievable experience. Thank you for being sooooo accommodating and friendly for first time trip to Europe. They were amazing and experienced with customer service. Will definitely go back next time.

Our second visit here. The one thing that stood out was the doorman Frederick. He was always very helpful and was so pleasant to be around. Whether it was holding the door open or if I was having trouble getting a location on my phone for Uber he would always kindly help my husband and I.

this is a gem - GREAT LOCATION! GREAT STAFF (even brought me soup etc when fell ill), also acknowledged my birthday. GREAT BATHROOM and SHOWER and comfy BED. Pkg is around the corner - hard to find in Porto. Helpful with site seeing options and dining.

Beautiful old building with masses of character. It was convenient to walk down to the river side, but walking back up could be a workout (but the 'BOLT' app makes it easy and affordable to get around Porto. The staff were all very friendly helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Can't wait to visit again

Wonderful front desk and bell staff! Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful! Room was very nice and spacious. Hotel is in great location. I was worried about parking in such a busy area, but it was no issue at all with underground parking just around the corner. Highly recommend Pestana Porto!

Good: location, location, location. This is the perfect location- it is close to everything!
Bad: I used a wash cloth, towel, lotion and the cleaning crew only replaced the towel. Why? The bed is also uncomfortably firm.
Ugly: The staff never greeted me when I walked past the front desk, I always had to say hello first and then they would look up from the computer as if they were surprised by me- they weren't. No one was in the lobby and they saw me walk in and sit down on the couch. They chose every time to ignore me. I also asked for an early check-in after 3 long flights from the U.S. and walked around the surrounding area from 10am-2pm and at 2pm came and nodded off on the couch right next to the front desk. At exactly 3pm, I asked to check in and they did so seamlessly. I asked for the bag I left with them at 10am and they said it was already in the room. So...my room was ready and you saw me sitting there waiting? Just rude and inconsiderate. I don't care if my bag was up there 1 hour or 10 mins- when the room was ready, you should have said something- you knew I had been waiting since 10am.

The hotel is very well located in the center of Porto,
near numerous shops and restaurants. It is both quiet and clean. The breakfast was also plentiful and excellent, with a wide variety of options, from fruits to cheese and yogurt.
