Great experience. All of the staff were professional and courteous. The ship is clean, well maintained, offers plenty of amenities and cozy sleep. My only irritation was the lack of parking. Parking tickets totaled 150 pounds for three violations.

We did not know this hotel was a boat. However, upon arrival service was excellent, ambience fantastic, and continental breakfast was great. Our room was below and only had high portholes. Room felt small and had a slanted floor. There are other rooms that may be larger with a better view.

What fun it was to stay aboard the Ocean Mist! We weren't sure what to expect when we booked our stay, but we're so pleased with everything about our experience. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. There was free parking right at the site--a real plus! Our room (berth) was spacious enough, very nicely appointed, and had the most comfortable bed with lovely linens. I wish I had them at home! We would stay here again!

Had an absolutely amazing family weekend in Ocean Mist. The boat was absolutely immaculate. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. The location is superb, fine dining nearby, superb drink selection and continental breakfast lovely too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely being returning

We came to Edinburgh to celebrate a special birthday and thought it would be fun to have a unique experience. The Ocean Mist certainly lived up to that label, offering a very high standard of accommodation and service on a recently totally refurbished boat on the River Leith. From the moment we stepped on the boat our experience was extremely positive. Every member of the crew we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a room on one of the upper decks which offered a very high standard of accommodation. A great amount of thought had been put into the refurbishment of the boat resulting in a very high standard of decor with a nautical theme. The staff had offered to decorate the room for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch. Most importantly the room was extremely clean. In addition to the guest rooms the boat boasted two outdoor seating areas on the upper decks one of which was attached to a bar/breakfast room. This offered guests the choice of an inside or outside seat depending on the weather. Breakfast was of a continental nature as the boat does not have cooking facilities onboard but was perfectly adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Mist and would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommend this unique experience staying on a renovated boat. Daniel was very helpful guiding us using public transport and recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was delicious overlooking the canal.

Our stay was a weekend away and Ocean Mist didn’t disappoint.We were warmly welcomed by Brian on reception -reception was manned 24/7 which isn’t always the case -and he explained everything we needed to know and said if we wanted anything to just let him know.Although our room was a little on the small side -it was really well equipped and had everything we needed and we didn’t find its size a problem.All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our continental style breakfast was served in the bar area which had fantastic views. We will definitely be back to visit and Leith has plenty going on to keep you entertained.

Family business hotel on a boat - very cosy room had a fabulous time, had a very peaceful nights sleep.

The room was fantastic, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was my favorite part of the day, right up there with relaxing in the lounge in the evening. When I come back to Edinburgh, this is the only place I'll stay. Thank you to everyone there for making our trip amazing.

From stepping on board the crew were amazing, they treat you like royalty and it’s like stepping back in time and absorbing a slice of history. Our room ‘The Steering Flat’ was fantastic and quirky. The bed was mega comfortable and the en-suite very plush with a wonderful shower. The bar is tremendous and the cocktails sublime. The breakfast is continental but the choice is vast so don’t let that fool you. The surrounding area is crammed by lovely restaurants and pubs and the general atmosphere is friendly and vibrant. We had a ball and definitely didn’t want to leave.

a unique place to stay and close enough to Edinburgh city within 10 minutes by tram / bus. staff very welcoming and plenty of bars and restaurants wihin 10 min walk to meet anyones needs and taste. Breakfast continetal buffet style excellent shame yhe facilties for cooked breakfast not available would be 5* apart for the damp musty smell in the room and parts of boat but i suppose your on a boat on the river.
