This small hotel is situated high on a cliff. It has spectacular views. The owner is very pleasant but has strict rules. For one you cannot put toilet paper in toilet or you will be charged $300 for any damages. I’ve never seen that before in all my travels. The road leading up to hotel is in terrible shape so make sure your driving a 4x4. Other than that it was lovely!!!! A free breakfast would be suggested as there is no coffee machine and place very isolated. Grazie Marco I look forward to seeing your new pool your planning to put in. We enjoyed our stay in Mal Pais at this beautiful location with an awesome ocean view! The room was also beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable! The covered patio is great to relax in the morning and at sunset. The bed was comfortable and the shower is large with hot water. It is a short distance from the beach, restaurants and shops. The owner was very helpful in directing us to restaurants and the beaches. We would stay here again and recommend it!

Positive: The place has an excellent view, nice balcony, about 3 min away from the beach. Marco was very responsive and helpful. I recommend driving a 4x4 since the way up is a little bit steep and rocky. The room is quiet and secluded surrounded by nature. Negative: The shower did not work properly.

We spent two nights there taking benefit of everything this place can offer, The room are spacious but..the balcony is simply amazing, sitting there and admiring the wild-nature with his incredible life while hearing the Ocean is priceless . We really enjoyed this place! Clean, like new, it was one of our favorite on our trip! We arrived in the early afternoon and saw howler monkeys, parrots and toucans, the view is breathtaking every time you look at it. We loved our stay and Marco (the owner) was awesome and very helpful with anything we needed. Highly recommended!!!

No coffee, but a coffee pot, no soap but a shower. A pipe broke so the water was limited. The room was clean the furniture modern.

Naranja Ocean View is a place we can truly recommend. Mal Pais was the best option on our tour around Costa Rica. This place is a little outside the village, calm, clean, big room, great terrace, helpful owner. Fantastic restaurant at the beach nearby. Steady horses to rent near. Enjoy!
