We had a brilliant stay. The location was great, only a little walk over the bridge to see the centre of town. The hotel was great, had a coffee and water station on our floor plus apples for snacks. Really enjoyed it.

Great place to stay in Basle… great location to the river and old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfect. Definitely recommend!

Amazing staff at front desk who were super friendly and helpful. Did their best to make my trip comfortable. Really appreciate it. However, the amenities, facilities and general comfort of the hotel is sub-par. For starters, the rooms are extremely noisy throughout the night. There’s drunk people, trams, garbage trucks, church bells etc. all keeping me up through the night. The pillows were uncomfortable, mattress was hard and was painful. The curtains would not close throughout leaving gaps for bright light to pass through. No iron in the room so you had to take all your clothes to a different floor. No coffee machines or fridge either in the room and there’s one in each floor and you have to wait. No fitness center or sauna. They give you a pass for next door to a really shabby gym. The breakfast is very lacklustre and they wouldn’t serve al a carte even though they had some items on the menu. The dinner menu was just average as well. I get all of the above if you’re trying to be a budget hotel, but you aren’t :/

The room was very cold. The shower and bath had no hitting at all. Floor was linoleum. No pot coffee or tea in room. Felt like student hotel, not 4 star

Excellent wifi, 24-hour access to unlimited nespresso coffee machines on each floor, and loved the cold sparkling water available at the coffee stations. Rooms vary in size, but smarttly laid out. Great service from front desk; grateful for the daily delivery (on request) of large bucket of ice.

Room was too warm, with ‘air conditioning’ only adjustable down to 21.1 degrees C. When this was queried with reception we were told it was local regulations, with no option of a fan offered. Location was very noisy, with social/restaurant area beneath two windows, and then a street where deliveries took place from about 5:30am beneath the other windows - so with windows open to try and control the temperature, sleep was limited due to the noise

The design and decoration of the rooms is unique and very well done. Everything gives a sense of quality, quiet luxury. The amenities are great and the staff was extremely helpful and available. I coudn't recommend the place more, in the heart of one of the most beautiful urban parts in Switzerland

Great service. People provided their best to attend me and made my stay very special.

Rooms were very hot and if you are the street it is noisy with the window open. Out shower did not work properly and daily cleaning was a bit erratic.

Everything was vey good. However we couldn't spend time in its lovely garden. The reason of our booking was mainly the beautiful garden, but we weren't allowed. Hopefully next time.

First I must say the staff both at hotel, adjacent bar and restaurant were fantastic. Every possible care and attention was given. Rooms are well clean, comfortable and in great location for city. Must go and enjoy yourself. I departed as scheduled and had to return - hotel was full as there was / is big event in Basel. While they may not be able to take me again as they are booked - I know they will try and took great attention to listen. That is both kind and great business
