We loved our stay at the Walter Raleigh, Jason and staff were very accommodating, especially with an early check in, and complimentary tea and scones while waiting! The rooms were bright and clean with wonderful views of Youghal harbor and bay! Brian greeted us back to the hotel on our second night, where we enjoyed a night cap in the gorgeous bar.

Comfortable hotel, with wonderful views of the sea from front facing rooms. Traffic can be noisy though. Staff seemed to be scarce - often no-one on reception, or in bar, but those who were on duty were very willing and helpful. We were a large family group, and they went out of their way to keep us together for breakfast and dining - service was good.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely, clean and spacious the room was. Everything about the hotel was perfect.

Booked via Expedia for 4 nights half board. On checking out was told half board meant 4 nights bed, breakfast and 2 evening meals so had to pay for extra 2 meals. The double room was tiny really only a single. Otherwise couldn't fault the staff

Good location on the main road just out of town with private parking behind the hotel. We didn’t use many of the facilities so can’t comment on the restaurant or bar.

Had previous experience of the property and was impressed,looking forward to another similar stay. Unfortunately left with a big disappointment.The breakfast was terrible in every aspect ( full Irish breakfast) :- Ordered toast ,collected Irish breakfast which I found was already cold,twenty minutes and the toast still hadn't arrived.Staff didn't seem to know what was happening,I asked one staff member band it was obvious the toast hadn't been ordered .left breakfast area after approximately one hour just a terrible experience of disorganised staff, unacceptable meal and unacceptable Length if time for a simple breakfast.I spoke with the receptionist stating our complaint but received no communication.

Loved this hotel. Staff excellent and attentive. Food was great. Beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. Beautiful ocean view. Walkable to town and boardwalk along water. People so friendly in this little town. Would definitely come back again.

There were lots of staff and all were courteous and polite. The food was AMAZING and we wound up having two dinners as well as breakfast at the hotel. We highly recommend trying the fish pie and the shoulder pork roast!

We arrived just as it was getting dark (1030 ish) and parking gate was closing & all dinning and pub was also closed. We did not have breakfast there. Our deluxe ocean front room was more of a beach view & the room, though clean, with very comfortable beds, was not as pretty as those advertised. The staff, as with all the staff we encountered in Ireland, were very friendly.

Friendly and accommodating staff, and were a lifesaver when I misplaced my phone upon checking in. Even had a cooling fan in the room I could use. Pillow case material was a little rough, but room condition was excellent and had a sound sleep soon enough.

Excellent stay, everything was great, staff very friendly and helpful. View from room was beautiful. Breakfast choices were very good. Evening meal was very good and so much of it. Wil be returning hopefully soon
