Just returned from another stay at Palm Grove and we will be back again in the future! Can’t beat this place for the value and location! Spend the few extra bucks and upgrade to the beachfront studios, they are fantastic! Staff is always friendly and the free tropical breakfast is great! Thank you SO much for another wonderful stay at Palm Grove!

Palm Grove is well located with a nice beach. Restaurant was clean and meals were good. However the "resort" is in need of maintenance and refurbishment. Stench of blocked drains in G7 bungalow, no hot water in kitchen of G10, doors that don't lock from the inside in G9. At almost $400 per night I expected some sympathy/empathy and help with my request for a firm mattress due to a back injury. No sympathy and no assistance at all. I spent 7 nights sleeping on cushions on the floor. Would not stay here again. Much better accommodation options nearby.

I love this property. We've bene going to it since 1996. HOWEVER! There are roosters on the island and this property has one that sleeps near B8 on the edge of the property. Now, most roosters will start going off at sunrise as is their nature, but Raro roosters like to sound off at midnight and throughout the night. In 2016, we were in B8 and the rooster that was there went off every hour from 11 pm through 7 am. And the bungalows are not sound proof. Nearly ruined that vacation. This time, I thought I was being smart and asked in my reservation, which was done several months in advance, to specifically not be placed in the ocean bungalows near the rooster. The property's response was roosters don't sleep in the palm trees. That is correct, but there is a different type of tree near the road, right next to B8 and it DOES sleep in that tree. Well, guess what units we got? B7 and B8, right next to the rooster. AGAIN. This rooster wasn't as bad but it still went off at midnight and 4 am. I love this property but I don't think I will be going back there again, which is a great shame. Not sure if roosters are protected (which is what I was told in 2016 when I was at my wits end) but if so, someone could make a good living relocating roosters from resort areas into the center of the island. The location is great; near the 24/7 Wigmore's store, very few people on the beach, and lots of fish in the snorkeling area which is 200 yards of 4 ft deep water.

The owner of the property could be more hospitable. All staff is wonderful. The owner, she could take some lessons from them!! Even “Good Morning” would be a good start.

It was very quiet and perfect for relaxation. The beach area was spectacular with great swimming and snorkeling. To improve they need to remove the roosters which constantly crow and interupt the peaceful atmosphere

We absolutely loved our stay in Palm Grove and can't thank the team enough for going out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home. I would stay here again and i would recommended Palm Grove to all friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We have stayed here previously and we loved it in our absolute beachfront villa, staff are very friendly, the restaurant is great for meals and drinks, there is a small supermarket a short walk away, the villa has a kitchenette which is great, the beds are very comfortable, we will definitely be back again.

Enjoyed the peace and quiet and the very prompt housekeeping service every morning. Very highly recommended accomodation to stay at. Meitaki maata for your hospitality.

We loved the location, the pool area, our garden studio was perfect! We had everything we needed for our holiday

The unit was very clean and the bed comfortable. The cleaning and maintenance staff were very friendly, nice people. The restaurant staff were the same and the food was great and reasonably priced. The office staff tended to be a bit humourless and the wifi almost nonexistant. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it

Palm Grove Resort was a great escape. Reasonably well maintained, given it’s humid tropical climate, the grounds and pool area are beautiful. A new bbq arrived during our stay. The beach furniture, kayaks, snorkels and fins were all well maintained. The rooms could use some updating. Some had received partial renovations in the kitchen and bathroom areas and others had not. Some appliances were newer and others were starting to rust. I also found it difficult to cook, unless you just bbq’d. Larger pots and microwave bowls or casseroles would help out here. AC worked well, but was rigged to go off when you left the room. The beds were very comfortable. Maid daily service included making the bed, a towel change, sometimes a sweep, garbage removal, but not any wipe down of surfaces in the bathroom, shower, vanity, coffee or dining tables during our 9 day stay. The Sunday BBQ and Friday Happy Hour were great, as was the music supplied. Food at the restaurant was good. An adequate breakfast was included and given this is not the norm on the island, was appreciated. The front desk did a good job at coordinating airport transfer, wifi purchase, snorkel rental and outings. They also rented scooters. There is a car rental a couple of blocks away along with a reasonably well stocked convenience store. Rarotonga is very remote, with sporadic wifi only in HOT SPOTS There is one TV channel and life becomes the beach, relaxing and socializing.

The location is slightly remote if you are relying on walking to get around, but there are a few interesting things close by such as the waterfall, abandoned Sheraton property and the nice Wigmore market, and anything else you need to get to can be reached by bus, rental car, scooter or better yet, bicycle. I'd absolutely stay again.

Very nice place with huge rooms overlooking the garden, very clean, great breakfast included and well kept grounds. Regarding Transfers .... I would NOT book them with the accommodation. No one turned up to pick us up at the airport so we had to get the local bus eventually. When we mentioned this nicely to the miserable old woman behind the desk ( not the smiley young one ) she actually had a go at us, saying that we should have got on a mini bus ( which was not there) and then got even more "off hand" when we mention this. Because of this we confirmed that we DID NOT require a return transfer to the airport because it was unreliable, they confirmed this ... and then a transfer turned up !!!! Basically, catch the local bus, it stops right outside the airport and will drop you off directly outside reception for $5 each

Wonderful stay, relaxing. The garden room was more than I expected, tiles, upgraded kitchen & bathroom. The king bed was very comfortable. I would stay again & the price is decent.
