Vivienne was very welcoming and a lovely hostess. We felt safe and everything was neat and clean. Breakfast was lovely!

This is a beautiful guest house well driven by Vivienne, her nice owner :) Hurry to book your visit of the Castle ... additionnally, Holyrood Palace is also a must see. Take Lothian day tickets. On our side, we used the Moon app. to have a taxi to and from the airport.

Nice and quiet accommodation. Clean room, excellent breakfast. Vivienne, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Good beds and sheets. Bus stop next to the hotel, with good access to the city centre (Royal Mile). Bus to city centre in 10 min and walk in 20 min.

Our family of 3 stayed at the Sherwood Inn for 2 nights. It was perfect! Breakfast was delicious. It was our 3 year olds favorite meal of the day both days in Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us with very high ceilings and a nice en suite. Vivienne is a really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful host and we felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Vivienne was an amazing host and her place was exactly as advertised. She made recommendations the entire trip and we took her up on every one of them and it absolutely made our trip. Highly recommend her place to anyone. My son forgot his toy there and she even drove it to the airport for us so he didn’t leave it behind. Incredible woman

Had a wonderful stay at Sherwood Guest House. Spotlessly clean and bright room, breakfast was perfect, host was amazing, helpful and loads of local knowledge and it was easy walking distance to attractions or the bus right on the doorstep. Highly recommended.
