Booked two double rooms, given two Suites. Nice breakfast restaurant on site

Good location, easy walking distance to the port and main streets. Bed was very comfortable. We had a basic guest room and the initial room had a small Queen. We asked at reception of a King room was available and fortunately it was. The layout of the room was much better and the bed was fantastic.

It’s an older style motel so be prepared, the bathroom is outdated with the shower over the bath. The decor is also very outdated - it adds to it’s charm or will put you off. Other issue was we were asked to pay an additional $100CAD in taxes at the property. This was after we paid the booking.com amount on check in, which states all taxes are covered.

I got upgraded to a King Suite, it was like a large apartment. Also enjoyed doing laundry on site.

Excessive parking price per night. Was not aware of the cost when I booked, so was a bit surprised. I was disappointed that I could not use the sauna, due to being at a Conference late into the wee hours.

Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy, location was great for hiking downtown, staff were friendly. Rooms were quiet and we loved having a kitchenette!

There was no air conditioning so it was hot in the room during the two last hot days we were there. Fans were in the room but usually we don't like fans blowing on us when we sleep. It made for a stuffy, hot environment. It was a good thing the windows could stay open for early morning cooling, we kept the room dark with the curtains closed. This helped! For the price of the rooms, I'm surprised they also charged for an additional fee for parking.

Location was perfect for a first visit to Victoria. Loads of the sights in walking distance. Loved the 2 block walk from the Clipper. They kept our bags for when we could check in and after we checked out but before the Clipper left. Older property so rooms are larger and offer space to relax. Clean and functional.

We didn't go down stairs and discover all the options offered by the hotel until we were leaving.

We had adjoining rooms.

The coffee was not great. Otherwise it was perfect.
