The best hotel I’ve ever visited, staff were so helpful and very very clean accommodation. The breakfasts were amazing!

The bed was comfy. The interior and atmosphere made it feel like home. The breakfast was delicious and it changed everyday. The selection of the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and lemonade that were available all day.

We put towels in the bathtub for change but they weren’t.

The friendly staff made me feel comfortable & relaxed.

The construction noise was a bit disappointing........but hearing about the "add-ons" to Lady Macdonald made me want to return!

We liked the location, facilities, staff, cleanliness, and overall comfort of our apartment. Also, a nice bonus was a private steaming room/shower.

My personal biggest issue was breakfast. Pancakes with jam, and just one small piece of bacon on our first day are not what I would call a breakfast. If my wife hadn't asked for a piece of toast/egg, I would have stayed hungry or been forced to go to a restaurant. The next day was slightly better, but still, I think that reviews raving about a good breakfast are definitely overrated. Another issue I had was that the windows in our apartment couldn't be opened; there was just some fan/aircon inside, which is definitely not adequate. Last but not least, in one of the smaller rooms, there was a creepy-looking ancient child crib that made us keep that room door closed the whole time. I assume that's probably there to keep the experience authentic, but I think it should not be there. To sum everything up, we paid $574 per night (tax included), and I think that's a way overpriced for what was offered.

Very clean. Lovely decor. Friendly & helpful staff. Breakfasts were wonderful. Despite the inn being full, our room was very quiet. Really enjoyed the outdoor seating on our hot summer evenings.

Would have liked a coffee maker in the room, so we didn’t have to go out to the dining room to get some. At least we figured that out in advance, so we brought our own. Also would have been nice if the shared fridge was larger. We were quite warm the first night, and no way to make it cooler - the thermostat was already turned all the way down.
