The Alt Hotel is right on the Halifax airport property so you can walk back and forth to the terminal. That is great if you come in on a late flight or leave early on an early flight. They have several places to eat at the airport, and the hotel has a simple eatery in the lobby area.

Closeness to the airport.

Not have see through showers into the main room so family members didn't feel uncomfortable about showering.

Convenience to the airport was the main advantage of this hotel. Restaurant and bar open late!

It was so awesome to be so close to the airport in the midst of a snowstorm with flight delays! Loved the convenience of just heading over in the morning with no shuttles! The layout is great & we had an awesome view from our room!

I left too early to have breakfast but enjoyed a great dinner while there. I liked the view from from the room, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved that I didn't have to go outside to get to the airport.

I really have nothing say here.

Very comfortable bed, loved having Nespresso machine in the room, enjoyed watching the planes from my huge window, excellent pizza and salad at the cafe (forget the name) and wonderful customer service. Highly recommend especially being attached to the airport.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It's sagging on the sides. The mattress needs to be changed, it's old and had it's day

The location is great - very convenient.

The room was small and extremely noisy. Every time a guest in the rooms around us would enter or leave their room we heard a loud "banging" noise from their door being open/shut. We could also hear everything that was said in the hallway, as well as from the neighboring rooms, and from the planes outside. The room had a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom, so if someone wanted to go into the bathroom at night, the entire room would light up. The curtains did not work (there are two "layers" of curtains so this wasn't a huge deal, but it still enabled more light to come into the room more than we would have liked - we were facing the parking lot so there is a lot of light even in the middle of the night). The bed frame was squeaky. And finally, the front desk was informed that my husband would be arriving later than me due to a delayed flight (arriving around 1am). They were asked to leave a key for him as I would be sleeping with out 6 month old daughter and could not leave the room the let him in. The message was not passed along and the desk employee called our room when he arrived at 1am and woke up our daughter. We have stayed at the ALT many times before and have always been satisfied. This experience, both in terms of quality of the room and service from the front desk, were quite disappointing.

I love the convenience of this hotel. It's perfect for early flights!

A full scale restaurant in the hotel would be perfect! The pillows were way, way too soft - There was no optional pillow in the closet.

We stayed here when we arrived from Portland, Oregon....after traveling all day long! Being able to get our bags and just roll everything right into the lobby from the baggage claim - I mean, who sweet is that? What a relief to finish a long day of dealing with standing, sitting, and hurrying along down long halls - and "poof" you're at the hotel. What a marvelous luxury! And their lobby has a 24-hour facility to eat/drink a great variety of offerings. And our room was SO quiet even though it was in sight of the main runway! Great staff - knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming.
