Unpleasant room. No breakfast

Because it is a motel/gas station/general store and the pictures I had seen of the area I expected it to be more of a truck stop place for truckers to sleep/shower/rest and it may be typically just that but I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room and it was comfortable both ambiance and bed. As a single traveler I often have to go on gut instinct about a place when I book and this place is definitely a comfortable choice for a single traveler.

I was told because I was a guest I would get a 10% discount if I filled up in the morning. I went in the store the next morning and talked to the woman who told me this...she said go out and pump and come back. When I went back she said I pumped too fast so she wasn't able to key in for the discount...if I go in to ask what to do...give me all the facts before you send me out the door or the message is....you really don't want to give a discount. After a good night stay, I walked away annoyed...not how a good stay should end!

It was in a good location to access the area. Very quiet because we were the only ones in the hotel.

It is a very old motel and needs some renovations. There was a smell that wasn't pleasant so we eft the door open at times to get some airflow.

Basic room, clean. Good for a stopover while passing through.

It was clean with a comfortable bed. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave.

Bathroom could be handicapped accessible with some grab bars

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.

Right off highway, next to a gas station and had easy parking. At least had hot water for shower.

Checkin was inside the store next door, not very friendly cashier that was only there until 9pm so if you don’t checkin by then, you’d be screwed until 7am the next day. Walls between rooms and hallway were so thin and other guests banging doors until 11 pm and we had to be up early. Hair in bathtub and on bathroom floor when we arrived. Water was hard water, had sulfur smell. No breakfast options and the gas station/store that owned the hotel didn’t open until 7am which didn’t help if you needed food or gas at 6am to get on the road to exit Yukon due to covid restrictions. Definitely one star stay and accommodations.
