Mary was very friendly and wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. Ensuite with a living area was spacious and quiet.

Narrow stairs that were difficult to navigate with a large suitcase. This by no means reflects on our host.

Mary was a very warm and welcoming hostess. Our room was amazing. Comfortable king bed, private bath and patio area. Gardens were lovely. Close to shopping malls and tour of Kingston Penitentiary.

The location was great and the privacy of the room made us feel very comfortable

The door key was sticky and required a little practice to use.

Very nice comfy room and neat facilities! The lady running the B&B was super sweet, even made me scrambled eggs for breakfast. Would definitely stay there again :)

It’s a bit out of town

The hostess was very congenial and provided excellent breakfasts. We were reasonably close to our weekend destination. There was also an excellent Japanese restaurant, Akita, nearby.

Because of the recent storm in the area the patio entrance was not available. The storm was devastating across Kingston and other areas of Ontario. I'm sure this will be rectified.

The host is lovely- bedroom in the basement was depressing.

This is a very unique bed and breakfast. Visiting from Toronto, I chose this for the great reviews and the great price - and I was satisfied to know that it exceeded my expectations. Please note it's cash only, so make sure you stop by a bank machine before you arrive (it should say under "payment" when you book). There are four rooms on the basement level, with the rooms being very spacious and having big beds. Room had a TV, bathrobe, towels, desk, and very comfortable pillows. The owner, Mary, has provided above and beyond service from the moment I stepped into the property and even after I stepped out. There was no staff except for her (at least during my stay), and she was very clear with the information we needed to know regarding the washrooms, unlocking the front door, etc. Breakfast was served at 8:30 am, and we were treated with toast, homemade jam, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and scrambled eggs. There was wifi and drinks available throughout the night (self serve of course) on the floor we stayed on. Mary treated me very well and we had pleasant conversations throughout breakfast and the morning I left. I could honestly say that I've found my "getaway hotel" in Kingston the next time I visit. Thank you Mary for the amazing hospitality!

Mary is a very welcoming hostess! I had a wonderful sleep in the king sized bed!!
