The Monastere was a very special place to stay, so serene, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast I was extraordinary. The history of the people who lived there and the building is evident in the museum on site. We will stay here again on future trips to Quebec City.

1. Difficult flight of stairs outside to reach door of building. Absolutely NO help to carry my heavy luggage (I was returning from ski & snow shoe vacation) & NO food/drink available (I'd spent 10 h on the bus returning from the Gaspe & was famished!) 2. I struggled to find my way through the building & to my room with my heavy luggage. The only person I saw in the building was a receptionist, who promptly disappeared as soon as I entered my room. As far as I could tell, there was no one else on the floor or anywhere else in the building. 3. I took the elevator to try to find someone who could provide instructions, without success. Then I got lost & could not find my way back to my room. I felt trapped. Again no one around. Fear took over me. Eventually I was able to find my way back to my room but could not sleep all night, because of this fear, my sense of isolation, the lack of support & the over heated room (inadequate Ventillation)

Breakfast organic and excellent, just be quiet. Room nice and location perfect.

Loved the breakfast. Disappointed that the yoga classes are now charged and not free. Bathroom in our room has a dip in the middle where water pooled. Cost of a cup of tea was high.

Parking was very expensive

The location is within walking distance to most of the attractions. It’s clean and well kept.

Everything! I had checked on line based on the recommendation of a friend who had stopped off there with a tour group. I am intent on returning with a group. excited!!!

Relaxed place

Everything; very clean, the idea of having breakfast in silence, I loved it. The location was the best, walking distance to main attractions and to the train station. All the history and the mistique of the hotel is so unique and amazing. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in the world.
