The pools were very nice, I liked the shallow pool with the sun chairs in the water! It was awesome having a coffee shop, convenience store, ice cream and restaurants all on site!

location was fantastic, 2 min walk to beach, local to a lot of restaurant's, bus stop right out side, 20 min walk to the main shopping strip of waikiki, 10 min walk to Ala moana mall, super friendly staff, no hidden costs

The room had everything we required.
Nothing really

The bed was so comfortable, king-sized bed
As soon as we checked in (long travel prior), we were shuffled to a concierge who attempted to sell us activities/time-share. We voiced our exhaustion and ended up saying we are just not interested. It would have been appreciated to be given the space to rest before that. I ended up avoiding the office because of this.

Location, facilities were terrific. Beautiful resort.
The room was a little small, and our room faced a parking garage which wasn't a pleasant view.

Upon checking in, Front Desk Agent Chester was great. Very welcoming and easy to talk to. The kitchen was a great thing to have for people waking up at all hours and late nights. Bottles of water and ice cream was a great touch as well. Location is very ideal for people who are on foot or catching a taxi.
Seemed like no one wanted to talk or acknowledge anyone. A simple "Hi" or "goodmorning/goodafternoon/goodnight" goes a long way. During peak hours there were only one person or no one at front desk. Information was hard to come by, while calling front desk. Attitude was prevalent. Simple asking for late check out was met with "No".

Pretty decent location, very accessible using TheBus, a few minutes stroll to Waikiki Beach.
Overlooking the road on one of the lower floors was very noisy, the glass doors didn’t really keep the sound out. The fridge in the unit was occasionally very noisy too! (Seriously, you wouldn’t be able to sleep with that)

Room was nice big pull out coach. Being supplied cleaning supplies was a very nice bonus. Centrally located great access to beaches.
Only real issue on the Saturday night of our stay another visitor was drunk playing loud Rap music and arguing with someone. This lasted until about 1 in the morning we had an early 630 start for snorkeling. Not getting a good night sleep put a damper on our tour.

We moved to the Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai from a room at Ilikai Tower. We had a week in each, as this was the cheapest option over the New Year holiday period. The move went smoothly and we were able to check in early to this room. We were pleasantly surprised by the room, which was on the third floor and considerably cheaper than the one at Ilikai Tower. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc. The kitchen was invaluable to us as food and eating out is extremely expensive in Honolulu!
The first couple of nights we found the air-conditioning unit very noisy. Reception sent their maintenance man, Dave, to check this out which he did. This made a big difference and the unit did not rattle as much; the key is to turn the 'money saver' button off so that the lights are both green. The air-con then stays on, without switching itself off.

Friday and Sunday shows in the Courtyard. Proximity to beach.
Friendly and helpful staff. Size of room. Dave's Ice Cream in the Lobby.
Mini market in hotel lobby. Provided beach towels.
No housekeeping services. Clean towels only after 4 days. no fan in bathroom for towels to dry during the day.
Had to take out own trash. No dishwasher. Cost for parking was high.
Conceriege services in hotel knew very little about activities in Honolulu and Waikiki beach..

Everything went well, right from the reservation staff to the cleaners, security, other staff, the environment, the location, etc, etc, etc,.
Some help is needed to assist in baggage handling from taxi to the room.

Staff were fantastic. Walking distance to Ala Moana. Beach was close and great swimming. Dave's ice cream shop downstairs was a hit with the kids! Great entertainment on some evenings. Bus stop right outside.
Were not able to access the gym using our room cards, but we should have asked about this at reception in hindsight. City view rooms a little noisy.

We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise. The price was reasonable compared to other resorts in the area.
When I booked it said my room was at The Marina at the Ilaiki and check in was at a different address. When we checked in we ended up with a room at the check in location not the marina. The room was clean but dated.

Location was great. It was in the middle of Ala Moana shopping plaza and Waikiki area so you can just walk to these places. It was also next to the Hilton lagoon (great for the Friday night fireworks) and walking distance to the beach.
The staff were also great, especially Carolina, who was friendly, helpful and lovely. We would stay there again.
The rooms and bed were much smaller than I expected. The photos online made it look bigger. But it was good enough for us.
