I appreciate the amenities list doesn’t list a fridge in the dorm but the photos do and I think when catering to all budgets a fridge would have been appreciated, especially in the interest of saving food wastage from large portion sizes. Similarly with no microwave being available. The ice machine on level 8 doesn’t work

--Location was GREAT! --I was so grateful that you accommodated the bottom bunk request! I know that it depended on other factors, but I was still very grateful. --Set-up downstairs for reading/writing while roommates were sleeping was EXCELLENT. Best of any hostel I've been in.

The only thing that made th e stay difficult was getting parking. I wish I had just parked down the street from the beginning. After reading online that there was an attached parking garage, I circled 2x and called the hostel. No one answered, and I ended up having to move on to the timed event I was in DC for. I emailed the hostel from the venue and did not hear back. I ended up circling the hostel 2x more times in the dark, this time on the phone with the front desk. It ended up just being best to go down the street.

There were bugs in bed, bad smell of smokes ,weeds..it was very difficult for me to spend even a single hour there.

Location was perfect, lots of food places nearby, 10 min walk to the subway station and about a 30 min walk to the White House. Staff were very friendly

Wifi didn’t reach to my floor (9th floor) which was pretty annoying being low on data

Location is so nice to reach every tourist destination by city bus. There was a Walgreen nearby, so I was able to buy whatever I needed.

This is not a problem with the accommodation, but the snoring noise of my fellow guests was very loud. I couldn't sleep well during 5 days.

1. I liked the curtains because they provided privacy. The staff, especially the female ones, were very nice. 2. They responded promptly: when the A.C. went bad, making clanking noise during the first night I was at the dorm, the technician came almost immediately after I told the staff. Though it was not fixed that day, they later brought an A.C. to regulate the room temperature. 3. The location is great and not too far from restaurants.

I sponsored myself to a 4-day conference and had to be economical, so I stayed at the dorm. There are a few things I didn't like: 1. The hotel didn't indicate there would be no refrigerator in the dorm, even though the picture posted on the website had a fridge. I was quite disappointed to find that out. 2. On the third day of my stay, the only Microwave downstairs was taken away. That was spontaneous and even more disappointing as I had to trash the food I packed from a restaurant. 3. I didn't expect that a lady would join I and the guys in my room. It was unexpected and I think the dorms should be gendered. Better still, these info should be provided on the website. 4. The lighting in the room is very low, and I think purposely made only for sleeping. I had to use my phone light when I wanted to iron my clothes at night, for example.

El hostel superó mis expectativas. Las habitaciones y zonas comunes eran muy amplias y agradables. El personal fue muy amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar. Cuenta con microondas. Me permitieron dejar mis valijas luego del check out. Altamente recomendado.

Hay que caminar algunas cuadras para llegar a las zonas de interés de la ciudad o a las paradas de subte.

Le Generator était bien différent des auberges que j'ai pu visiter car c'est en réalité un hôtel. Vous avez la même organisation et donc le même "standing" qu'un hôtel mais vous partager simplement une chambre avec 3 personnes. Cela était très appréciable également car le ménage est réalisé une fois par jour. Propreté au top, rideau qui permettent l'intimité.

Le seul bémol est qu'il n'y a aucun espace de cuisine/salle de repas. Donc pas vraiment de possibilité de ramener de la nourriture extérieure sauf en livraison sur les tables du hall. Certaines photos de l'annonce ne sont également pas à jour.

Tal vez al ser un “hostel”porque tiene calidad de hotel . Le faltaría una heladera / cocina para guardar las cosas. Pero tiene inclusive un microondas y si necesitas algún plato o cubiertos para comer te prestan en el bufett.

Due to a system error between Booking and the hotel. I clearly booked for 2 days as indicated in my receipt but I was auto-checked out in 1 day without my knowledge. I went to access my room on the second day and my key didnt work. I asked for my key to be fixed and it eventually was. I said I hope you didnt give my bed away. They said don't worry. I went up and found sure enough there is an issue with the system/staff as they had given my bed to someone else and it was an awkward encounter. After going back down I was finally given a new bed after waiting around and I was quite tired by then. In the morning I was assured I only had to pay for one night, I said fine. But then I saw my receipt was for 2 nights. The person at the desk was not able to do anything and advised I contact the manager. There was definitely a system issue but the staff seemed to not be able to provide accurate info either. What a nightmare!
