I love everything from the room and the quiet area and the comfort I'm really going to come back to this hotel.

That the vending machine outside was sold out on drinks but other than that it was perfect.

The king suite was really spacious with a full kitchen and a separate seating area. Gas fireplace was a nice touch. The area seemed quiet and peaceful.

The king suite is essentially one big room so it does not work for a family. Queen room was quite small. The staff could have been more helpful. Breakfast was basic american breakfast with not much healthy options.

The room was very comfortable, and even had a little balcony. I love the high ceilings here! It's a short 10 minute drive to Monterey. It's my second time here and I would come back again!

there are no restaurants super close by so note that you will need to eat out for dinner/ get takeout.

Through no fault of the hotel, we lost power during the latest storm on the Thursday evening. The next morning, the power was out, no internet, and no cell phone service. We ended up leaving a day early. The power was out until 9:00 pm on Saturday.

The area and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! We have stayed here once before and became so enamored with the property and the area that we wanted to stay here again!

This review is solely pertaining to the male front desk agent who "assisted" me on 5/11 at approx. 6:00pm and Best Western customer service. I had made reservations in February to celebrate my 11 year anniversary in Pacific Grove. I also work in the hospitality/restaurant business and weekends are extremely hard for me to request and take off. Therefore, I was extremely stressed when we heard about the atmospheric river storm rolling in. We decided to take as many precautions as possible and tried reaching out to the hotel directly since the morning of 5/9. We weren't necessarily looking to cancel, more so get an update on road conditions related to weather in that area. After several attempts and not being able to get thru, we finally reached out to Best Western's 800 number. The customer service rep wasn't able to tell me why my call couldn't be completed and why I had been getting a busy signal. She then suggested I reach out to booking.com since that's who I originally made reservations thru. I called booking.com's customer service who then suggested I message the property, which I did. It wasn't until after 12pm on 5/11, the day of my reservation that I was called by a hotel employee from a private number informing me that the area had been without power for 36 hours. He then went on to say that PG&E crews were in the area and had projected to restore service by 11pm that night. He also informed me that he would have a room available for me but said we wouldn't have any power and he couldn't guarantee it would be restored. He also told me I could cancel my reservation at no cost. We were already en route. When I arrived at the property the power hadn't been restored yet. The same front desk agent who called me then said that they were offering 50% off a night because of the outage.

I booked the place from the cleanliness ratings. The place was exceptionally clean. When I checked into my room the sun shone brightly in my room, a time when it's easy to see everything. The place was spotless, seriously. The front office was really great and friendly. The price was good. The whole property exterior property was well maintained. It was convenient to the freeway but very quiet. As a single woman traveling alone, a very comfortable experience.

This hotel is a converted condominium site, and as such, there were many room options .We chose the largest king suite and were very pleasantly surprised how large and roomy it was. There was a full kitchen, living room and large bedroom with two patios and two tv's. It was very clean. It would remind you of a 80s condo in the mountains, with nice rock features, an inviting fireplace and autumnal looking carpets and color schemes. It's perfect decor for the woodsy, Pacific Grove area where the hotel is located. If you are are looking for a bright minimalist modern hotel, this is not the one for you

The only thing that I would suggest to the management is to go to each of the rooms with some dark stain and hide the nicks to the furniture, easily done.

Spacious suite in a lovely location.

furniture was stained. Whenever a simple request was made the staff would politely insist that they were NOT required to help. We stayed 4 nights, there was always a car in the handicap parking that did NOT have a handicap placard. Staff said their lot was private property and they did have to comply with the ADA. we were finally able to use the handicap parking on our last night. I politely asked if I might quickly grab some salt from the breakfast room and was informed that breakfast had already ended Too, they refused to return the photocopy of my ID and Credit Card. Staff were never rude, but completely disinterested in being helpful.
