Ann the host was very pleasant and greeted us with a lot of kindness. It is not at all what was depicted on the previous reviews. Location was perfect for us since we had a concert in downtown Ventura.
It is represented by the low price paid; room was clean and shower had good pressure and hot water. Mattress was very uncomfortable (springy and hard) but other than that, parking was free and it was a good stay.

Location was walking distance to concert
Total dive. Hotel phone didn’t even have buttons or ability to dial out. Fridge was wide open and had water all over floor. Wholes in ceiling were filled with toilet paper. Felt so gross I checked for bed bugs

El precio era economico pero hasta que llega se dice lo barato sale caro .
Un lugar de paso 3 estrellas o 2, los encargados son racistas sin temor.lo digo son del medio oriente y ven a los latinos mal y si no hablas inglés o su idioma son cortantes que las houskepeen no admiren mascotas si el cliente paga, ,no son accesibles para nada mala experiencia no permiten mascotas y no importo que tan lejano y la hora que llegamos me dijeron que cancelara la reserva con y me dejo parada en la entrada y no dejaba que me interpretarán lo que yo necesitaba decirles, solo lo que ella decía y necesitaba mi cuarto que reserve 3 semanas antes ya no contaba con el dinero para agarrar con un precio diferente el lugar y sin conocer el area.

the room smelled when AC was off the bathroom was missing a screen on the window and the shower pressure was terrible. The chairs in the room were old and unstable was disappointed because we stayed a few years ago and it was fine. And we could see the beach from our room this time new apartments were built so no beach view

Absolutely nothing.
1. The owner was rude and refused to allow me to check in at 12pm vs. 3pm when I had reservations for 3 days while a walk in payed and checked in while i waited.
2. A 40 deposit for a 2nd room key ??
3. The springs protruding from the beds hurt our backs.
4. Everything had an old, stale odor to it

Didn't like anything about this hotel.
As soon as we walked into our room it smelled like colone and mildew room looked like it hasn't been sanitized in years. Right when i turned on the shower a roach crawled out of the drain.

Nasty. Staff was rude. Lady behind the counter to the guest in front of me to get out. Don’t waste her time. Place was FILTHY and disgusting. Flooring pealing up. Towels dirty and folded. Drinking cups were wet. Outside even smelled dirty

rude ppl in front desk and they take u money and don’t give a room I went there last night lady was really rude bcs I wake up her she ask for id I give my us passport and she say that’s not a valid id when on the rule say show a photo id the lady don’t give me my room I sleep in my car and now they charge for a night that they don’t want me to stay that’s not fair and now I call booking bcs my money back and they say they call the hotel and they say I never show up I’m gonna take this case to court and my lawyer will ask for the record of cañarás because they not gonna keep my money and they not gonna call me lair

The door looked like SWAT came through it. Leaving anything of value in room is not recommended as the door was janky.

Pillows were weak,had to use the towels to them.

The location of the place is fantastic. Plenty of parking and easy access in and out of the place.
Worst shower due to low water pressure. Place needs work: running toilet, replace broken shower liner, lamps not working, phone not working, paint job would work wonders. Do some updates. Clean up the broken glass on parking lot. Unfortunately I got the neighbors from hell upstairs and called the cops twice. Not satisfied with this place.

No breakfast was provided.
The front desk staff was rude and non supportive.
The rooms were fillfy and heavy smoke smell was everywhere. The furniture was outdated, with scratches and chips. The curtains were ripped. The flooring was taped with ducktape.There was no screen on the windows. The smoke detector did not have batteries in it. When request another room the receptionist/owner said if I don't like it, I can leave.

I enjoyed my stay. The owner was very sweet and friendly. She made me smile after a long hot day working. I stayed on 2 occasions there and both rooms are very charming. I love retro motels. No point in nit-picking on what it could be. Every place you go has their good and bad points. Over all I enjoyed my stay. I slept very well!
