Excellent value for money. The location is great. Close to Universal and restaurants that are within walking distance (but keep in mind if you choose to walk, you have to cross busy roads and highway ramps). The service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Although the hotel is older, the room was clean and a good size. Free breakfast was great for the mornings before going to Universal. One reason we booked this hotel was for the free shuttle to and from Universal which is super helpful if you are on a budget. Take advantage of the shuttle. The shuttle leaves on time so make sure you are also on time (especially when going back from Universal to the hotel).

Overall, we had an excellent stay! I definitely recommend booking this hotel. Just some minor things and tips for other travellers: The bathroom didn't have a fan, so it got a bit stuffy and humid. I wish there was one more bus added to the shuttle schedule because the last shuttle from Universal to the hotel leaves before 7:45 pm, although two of the Universal parks close at 10 pm. We wanted to stay at the parks from open to close to take advantage of the expensive park tickets. If you miss the shuttle or stay later, the Uber/Taxi pick-up point is at a different location than the hotel shuttle bus pick-up point. Be careful of surge pricing for Uber around the time the park closes. One of the nights we stayed out past the shuttle schedule, it cost us ~$25 USD to the hotel, even though it's only a 6 minute drive. Another night, we missed the shuttle bus by 3 minutes. Fortunately, we found that there is a LYNX city bus stop close to the hotel shuttle drop off/pick up point. The bus costs $2 USD one way which isn't too bad. We took a bus which dropped us off near the hotel and then we walked. It was easy enough to book and catch the shuttle there, but catching the shuttle back was more complicated when we went to Volcano Bay. Make sure to allow for time to leave Volcano Bay to take the Universal shuttle back to Citywalk where the hotel shuttle picks you up.

Room lovely. Whole resort spotlessly clean. Good pool. Great breakfast buffet. The evening food was ok. If a family stayed here and had the food/drink provided and utilise free direct universal studios transport the stay pays for itself.

Little bit of a pain getting out more than getting in. Traffic heavy at times around the hotel. A kids play area would be a benefit

The location was great because our trip was for Universal Studios.

Not sure if it was just the group of people staying there for the New years holiday but one hall was stunk so bad it would almost make you throw up.
