The restaurant was delicious! The room was very nice, but the lighting was poor.

The lighting in the room. They should replace the carpet in the elevator it appears worn and dirty. Upon a closer look, it simply is terrible carpet. No amount of cleaning or vacuuming will fix the appearance.

It was centrally located in the city. PERFECT!

There were several electrical outlets didn’t work. To get ice, we had to be requested it because there is no ice machine our floor. The coffee machine was extremely noisy.

Great location, room was lovely - quite spacious for a city room, nice size bathroom with walk in shower. We had a corner room with great views of downtown Durham. Bed was comfortable and nespresso in the morning was a nice touch.

Several of the elevators were out of order which made it a bit tricky at busy times. Doors close very loudly so if you are sensitive to sound you might hear the neighbors coming and going.

We loved our spacious room and really appreciated the kind gesture of the bottle of bubbly in honor of our anniversary. We thought the museum component of the museum was very interesting but unfortunately did not have as much time as we would’ve liked to appreciate and explore the exhibit. I got the impression from the online booking process that the room we reserved would have a bathtub, but did not to our surprise, which was a minor let down. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful and quick to offer bringing up ice, when I was having trouble finding some. We had breakfast at Counting House the morning of our departure, and the food was quite good but the service felt mediocre as far as enthusiasm and professionalism. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but likely would try another location in Durham next time we’re in town. thanks for hearing our feedback. We certainly appreciate the creative concept behind this hotel.
