It was so clean and the decor was nice.

Lack of water pressure in the bathroom shower and the exhaust fan didn’t work.

The staff was very nice , the rooms was clean , breakfast was good I loved the kitchen in the room loved the black out shades also .

The hall way was so hot that made the room so hot . That's the only down fall .

It appears that this American Value Inn is more for working men stay overs.. Once I was in my room I had no intention to leave til daylight, I'm a woman and had concern about safety

First, I got the wrong room I wanted a walk in shower didnt have one nor two beds. The next room I had to really push against the door to dead bolt it. The room appeared clean but, the shower rod was fallimg down cause it was screwed in the wall. The shower curtain was filthy with stains, the tubs was dirty and appeared to have mildew in the corners of the tile. There was only one small trash can in the room. The carpet felt dirty, didnt walk bare footed. One of the beds had somebody's needle papers what they must have used to check their blood sugar. There was no ice in the building, no snacks or drinks or water to purchase and they were too high if there were any. The sheer window curtains were torn from top to bottom and the edge of the top curtain was hanging. The sitting chair was dirty and had what looked like cigarette ashes in it. I was afraid I wouldnt get my money back if I left so I spent each day and night away from the room as long as I could and checked out as soon as I could get ready Friday morning. I will not be staying there again, especially at $72/night.

I liked that it was n port arthur, I like the room lay out.

Its way too much money for what it is. Also there was a strange smell through out the entire hotel . The morning staff was rude as can be .
