Typical American breakfast.
Saw first Snow of the winter.
Beautiful scenery.
Definitely a hunters lodge, not much to do except enjoy the scenery for normal tourist. Bit remote but great experience to be in that part of Alaska.

Amazing friendly staff felt right at home views we're spectacular.
Bed was a bit hard

Friendly attentive staff. The room and food was what you'd expect in the middle of a gravel road nearly 200 miles from the nearest fast-food restaurant (the true sign of civilization!). The location was exceptional: the hotel is perched on a hillside a few hundred feet above the Denali Highway, offering exceptional views of surrounding Taiga, the Susitna River and the mountains beyond. Sure, one can drive up to the hotel (and bar) without staying there, but a with a stay there you get the views at sunset and close to sunrise (whenever you wake up)

What a great vibe …. especially at meal and evening times. Friendly staff and food great. The lake hike was a real gem.
Expensive for basically a hostel room. Shared toilets were hard to access in the mornings and a bit troublesome. Typical of the low value for money we’ve found in Alaska across the board for tourists.

Supper and breakfast were excellent!,
Drive to location was a gravel road which was very bumpy - nothing that the lodge can do, but it did make the trip long.

Great food and staff was very accommodating. About as rural Alaska can get.

Beautiful spot on a remote highway. Food good.
Shared bathrooms. Good that there were 2 bathrooms. No ensuite bathroom.

I'm glad we survived. Perhaps that's all.
I don't even know where to start. The road to the hotel closes in October. We were warned that it would be difficult to get there, but we were not told that it was almost impossible by car. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Therefore, breakfast and dinner are included in the price. When we finally got there. The woman, obviously the cook, was very unhappy that she needs to feed us. She looked like she'd rather watch TV with the others. In general, the entire staff was wildly dissatisfied with our presence. No one spoke to us. No one offered anything. In the room where we spent the night, there was garbage and dirt everywhere. No one changed the bed linen. The toilet was yellow and covered in hair. Two dogs live in this "hotel". Their poop was everywhere. Even in the middle of the living room. but at the same time, I was charged an extra 20$ per night because I had my emotional support dog with me.
Once again about the food. For dinner, we had two burnt burgers, chips and two glasses of water. For breakfast, sweet porridge, bacon and eggs. I gave my breakfast to their dogs.
In the morning, before leaving, I warned them that if I didn't contact them in 5 hours, they should send someone to look for us. After all, there is no connection at a distance of 70 miles. The owner of the" hotel " told me that if we got stuck, we should walk to the nearest house. There is only one residential building on this road and it is 12 miles from the hotel and 56 miles from the main road. I do not advise anyone to go to this "hotel". This is an ordinary house that is not cleaned, with terribly rude staff. they were so rude to us that my boyfriend was afraid they would kill us in the night. We were the only guests.
