The biggest problem in these range rooms is low-quality bathroom/shower. But here it's clean, with a good shower and a bathroom. A very good breakfast, Tea pot, with a tropical fresh platter, is excellent addition I have never experienced in other places in SL.

Not having a hair dryer and soap/shampoo. It is a must-have as everyone enjoys the sea and is hard to find from the outside.

Best free breakfast I ever had in a hotel! The rooms are nice and I specifically liked the spacious and bright bathroom. The location is quiet as it's a little behind the main street (except for the trains). Nice staff

There seemed to be some issue with overbooking at first. After I made my booking someone reached out saying I could not stay with them. In the end I could stay anyway without knowing what went wrong, it seems they're not always on top of their bookings. My freind had a room in the back house and was waken up by the train every night as it is very close to the tracks

Great green garden place. You are surrounded by palm trees. Had a balcony, enough space and compfi bed. AC+fan worked well. lovely people and delicious fruits. We went swimming as the location was close by the beach. Wonderful clean beach with big waves. We loved to swim there. We were allowed to check out lately. thank you one more time. 😊🙏🏻

only 9 stars bc the bathroom could have maybe a towle/bath math for the floor. We were standing in the water from the shower.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the tropical fruit plate, which was the best that I had in Sri Lanka. Lovely modern bathroom with a powerful and warm shower. My room in the back (no balcony) was airy with lots of light. Very tranquil, set back from road in a lush garden. Mahesh, the owner, is truly committed to making sure you have what you need for a happy and comfortable stay

The room was nice, comfy bed, ac, fan, good wifi, table and chairs, kettle, fridge, big bathroom all with great views over the jungle. the train would pass close by and we could see it through our windows. breakfast is ridiculously huge and tasty, we wouldn’t have lunch after it. the location is nice right by the side of Beach and surf sports with restaurants close by. there were power cuts but they run a generator so we would not feel them.

Bright clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed and well working A/C, delicious breakfast (although same every day), we were provided beach towels as well. The whole place has a very peaceful atmosphere.

After the room cleaning the floors were still full of dust. Exchange rate is 203 LKR / 1 USD, we were charged with an exchange rate of 230 LKR / 1 USD (=4,200 rip off on a 6 night stay).

It’s not a quiet location, but that’s true of everywhere in central Ahangama

Crystal Palace is very close to Kabalana beach in Ahangama, but not at the main road so that’s relatively quiet. - Own garden backyard makes feel more secluded and more comfortable - Very clean rooms - 2nd floor family rooms are the biggest with big terrace - loved it! - Extremely nice hosts! Very helpful and sweet. - Breakfasts - simple but everything you need: omelette, toasts with butter and jam roti or coconut pancake, big fruit plate, coffee/tea - Very good ac and shower

Peaceful location, 5 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach, lovely garden, air con in rooms, fridge in room, warm and welcoming hosts.

We enjoyed it all.

Very nice, clean and spacious hotel room up to European standards. AC, fridge, working area, okay wifi and the best shower in whole Sri Lanka. Delicious and huge breakfast is served every morning. Kind and welcoming hosts. 5 mins walking from the beach and 1 min from one of the best restaurants in the area. They also provide tuk-tuk service if you need to go out of town.

The hotel is close to the main road and just next to the railway, so when a train passes by it is pretty noisy. First train passes by around 6:15, last is around 21:20. Actually 6:15 is a good time to wake up to catch the 7am waves with your board. There are no trains at night, so I had pretty good sleep till 6:15

Big room, kind owners and good breakfast. Close to many good surf spots.

I liked everything! The hotel is small and cozy, run by a nice family. There is a yard full of trees and plants. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony. The breakfasts were tasty. The owner Mahesh was nice and welcoming. There is a nice dog who our children liked to play with. The Ahangama town itself is very pleasant. Quiet and comfortable, with a great beach where you could learn to surf.

Big room, spotlessly clean, with AC, nice huge balcony next to coconut palm trees where monkeys live. Very friendly host. Perfect breakfast, with lots of fruit. Only 200-300m from entry to the Kabbalana beach, which is perfect place for surfing.

Everything. The location (close to the beach and to a small town), the owners who were very kind. The room was clean, luminous and spacious with a nice private terrace where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful garden. Late afternoon, you can also watch monkeys jumping from one tree to another; very entertaining. And the breakfast!! The best I ever had in all my travels and I travel a lot. Plentiful with a beautiful big plate of tropical fruits, eggs, bread, roti, vegetable etc. I was alone and they gave me enough food to feed 3 people. There is also a restaurant (2 minutes walk) called "A la carte". A must. Food is just superb!
