Facility is ok, but needs an upgrade, starting with the outside which looked untidy. In our room, number 4, the stopper in the sink did not work. Little things, but should be better.

This was a nice place to stay, rooms were well designed, with a beautiful back garden, everyone we met was super friendly this included staff & guests.

A bit away from the town if you have ur own transport then the location was good, we relied on taxi ruffly £10 each way but good taxi service. The bathroom door in our room was a little stiff to open & close this was due to new carpet I believe. Other than these 2 things I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was a great experience.

Breakfast was a little sparce not up to usual Irish standards but it was provided at my time of asking not in set times and served by helpful and friendly staff

Should make sure an emailed receipt is sent, I only got a hand written receipt which is not a problem for self employed people like myself but can't see it being much use for claiming expenses 😞

Rooms a bit tired

beautiful building and grounds. the window view was stunning. Breakfast was fantastic.

the room I had was lovely and big.. the bathroom could have done with a deeper clean, and the skirting boards were very dusty. There were a few large cobwebs under the sink and in the back of the wardrobe. Our 2nd room my parents stayed in was very small and had a tiny window to open, so it was too hot for my parents both in their late 60s and 70s to sleep properly, unfortunately. The lady that checked us in didn't seem to keen on showing us around, felt a bit like we were in the way or imposing. the lady in the morning for breakfast was lovely and seemed very helpful.

Our room had a bonus door that led to a private patio. Beautiful Gardens! Also, the host provided a mini fridge for people to use in the sun room, as well as books in the lounge (if you wanted) AND a microwave in the dining area, which was great for warming up takeaway foods!

Only comment is the original listing stated that breakfast had to be takeaway or delivered to room, but that has changed and they serve breakfast in the beautiful dining area. I suspect the details were during Covid and just haven't been changed.

Excellent property with space to relax / work. After bringing back take away food the Host was happy to see us provided with plates and cutlery.

Check out very early for a Sunday morning 10am. Breakfast only running for an 1hr 8 to 9am. Abit early for us.

From arriving at the hotel to check in to leaving early in the morning ,everything was great.the room was a great size with a double and single bed,a very large bathroom.The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Ample on site car parking spaces with overflow if required

Quiet comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The host Susan was very welcoming. My room was a good size and was very comfortable. Downstairs there was a guests lounge with a small bar which allowed you to have a beer ( for a donation into the honesty tin). The house was nice and warm and though i only had breakfast on one of the 3 nights i stayed there ( due to early work departure) it was a nice scrambled egg and toast.

Nothing that the MOtel can do about this but for a pedestrian the guesthouse would be a bit outside the town. However i did walk into town on the first morning and got to the train station within a 20 minute walk. so not too bad. Apart form a spar nearby there is not much else in terms of shops, but it did have a good selection.
