Location, breakfast and dinner with spectacular view, and super friendly staff and management

The hotel is very close to the train station and right on the lake. It's a short walk down the promenade to catch a boat. There is great gelati right nearby. The lake view from the room is fantastic. Room comes with really comfortable bathrobes and slippers in a lovely changing room that was separate from the main bedroom and the bathroom. It was nice to have an additional corner or privacy with four sharing a bedroom without hogging the bathroom. It also has a refrigerator with complementary drinks (water, tonic water, orange juice), as well as a kettle for making tea.

Check in was a bit confusing, as there is no main hotel entrance. You announce yourself in the restaurant, and they show you to room through a stairway right off the kitchen. Unfortunately, our television wasn't working and the staff was all busy serving tables to resolve the problem.

I booked a room with a view to the alps & there was a large tree blocking my 1st floor view

Our experience from start to finish at the Al Pozz was wonderful. We arrived a bit early; we were greeted warmly by the staff who stored our bags and offered us refreshments. Traveling with friends we booked 5 rooms and all were spacious and wonderful! One room had a kitchenette along with a balcony that gave beautiful lakeside views. Two other rooms also had a balcony. The rooms with a mountain view were nice, too. Most rooms had a refrigerator. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were spacious, and wifi worked well. Each morning we were greeted by name at breakfast and shown the warmest hospitality. The food was delicious and adequate--their coffee was superb! The property is a 5 minute walk from the train station. I'll certainly hope to book at the Al Pozz again when I come to Locarno.

its a cozy small hotel with good breakfast and friendly staff. Its a 5min walk away from the train station which is very convenient. Along the stretch of road has restaurants choices for meals

The shower is small

We had an excellent 3 nights' stay at Al Pozz. Although the staff can't speak English, they were very friendly. Breakfast was good and we loved the cuppachinos! The hotel is just 100m - 150m from Locarno train and busstation and this was very convenient for our different day trips. Our double bedroom with ensuite bathroom was big and comfortable and enough space to unpack our stuff. We also enjoyed the balcony. Definately recommended for fellow travellers. Keep up the good work and your hospitality!

We had a beautiful view with small balcony. Breakfast was good. Location of property is excellant.

Everything was perfect

Excellent location is across road from water front. Included b'fast was good ... but needs more coffee. Restaurant is good; lasagna is superb! Good WiFi.

Shower too small - curtain attaches to you. No 110V or USB outlets.

This hotel had very friendly, serviceable and smiling staff. The breakfast was excellent, rich and varied. The location was perfect and it had quiet and very clean rooms. Also, it had a very good restaurant and a pleasant terrace lakeside

The location is great, and also the restaurant. Breathtaking view of the lake with sunshine early morning. Breakfast was a bit too sweet, but you can order eggs (no extra cost) and there is some fruit and vegetables.

No plain yoghurt, or plain oats/muesli, limited amount of fruit. The rooms can get pretty warm and there is non air conditioning, just a fan. No fridge. Bathroom was very small and... basic.... Noisy ckeaning with an airblower on the neighboring restaurant terrace, reliably at a quarter to 8 in the morning.
