Elegant Villa With Private Pool For 2-10 People Tavira
Casa Funda è una grande ed elegante villa a 4 km dall'incantevole città di Tavira con piscina privata e terrazze che si affacciano su un terreno di 6000 mq (circa 1 ettaro) con ulivi, carrubi, aranci e limoni, bouganville, palme e yucca. È fatto su misura per le famiglie più numerose: due o tre famiglie in vacanza insieme, o una famiglia tra cui nonna, nonnina, zie e zii. La struttura dispone di 5 camere da letto, tutte con ARIA CONDIZIONATA, una delle quali è un monolocale molto ampio completo di seconda cucina e bagno e tre letti singoli, annessi alla proprietà ma con ingresso indipendente. Lo studio non è mai lasciato separatamente. La casa principale e le sue 4 camere da letto sono tutte dotate di zanzariere. Nella casa principale c'è un grande salotto con TV a schermo piatto e un nuovissimo box (a partire da giugno 2017) che ti offre tutti i principali canali del Regno Unito e altri 200! Ci sono porte finestre schermate per terrazze e piscina, sala da pranzo separata per 12 anche con porte finestre schermate, cucina completamente attrezzata, camera da letto matrimoniale w / letto queen size, porte finestre schermate + bagno privato, camera familiare con letto matrimoniale e singolo e bagno privato e due camere a due letti. C'è un terzo bagno al piano inferiore. Il monolocale, con la sua terrazza e una vista molto lontana sul mare, ha un ampio bagno e cucina.
Dopo aver comprato la casa, ci siamo imbarcati in un vasto programma di architettura paesaggistica e abbiamo creato una seconda grande sala da pranzo a terrazze lontana dalla piscina e il rumore per la lettura, la siesta, ecc. Abbiamo inoltre paesaggistico del giardino, l'aggiunta di una caratteristica fontana / laghetto in pietra locale, con pesci rossi, e piantare più alberi da frutto, bambù, bouganville etc. C'è un servizio di giardinaggio, una volta a settimana e la piscina è servito due volte a settimana in alta stagione.
Abbiamo già aggiornato la casa installando l'aria condizionata, un enorme televisore a schermo piatto, accesso a Internet, nuove tende, ecc. Nel 2015 avevo messo gli schermi per tutte le finestre e le porte al piano di sotto. Nel 2016 sono stati anche proiettati i bagni al piano di sotto. Nel novembre del 2019 abbiamo installato una nuova caldaia elettrica per acqua calda in cucina, quindi non c'è più rischio di rimanere senza gas in bottiglia durante il vostro soggiorno.

We recently concluded our 20-day stay at Casa Funda, and I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the hospitality and support provided by Elsa and her husband, and the owner Mrs Uschi Our time in Tavira was delightful, and despite the heat, we thoroughly enjoyed the town, the nights and the beautiful surroundings with our three small dogs. The visits to Vila Real of Santo Antonio nearby were also mesmerizing!
Our experience was overall very positive, and I recommend this lovely home for future travelers with dogs !

The villa is Fantastic, Traditional, homely and classy.
The pool, BBQ area and veranda were ideal and close to great local restaurants and shops plus the beautiful Tavira.
Would highly recommend for a Family Holiday, we would definitely come back.

We had an enjoyable 2 weeks staying at Casa Funda. We were 2 families and there was plenty of room. It was lovely having the pool and suited all age groups as there were great steps in the shallow end but also the deep end was deep enough for diving and jumping in. As the weather was so hot we’d often go in to Tavira (short drive from the villa) in the morning when it was cooler and then spend the afternoon in the pool or relaxing on the sun loungers. We also caught the ferry from Tavira to the beach which was great fun, especially the day there were more waves! The villa also has a second Terrace which was lovely as it was often more shady. The outside of the property is very nicely landscaped. As the weather was so hot it was a relief to have air conditioning in the bedrooms. We have definitely come home feeling very relaxed.

The villa is lovely. We especially enjoyed the pool area, the quiet, and being surrounded by nature. It is close enough to Tavira (a 5 minute drive) so it's also easy to visit the surrounding beaches.
We were also happy with the facilities: there is plenty of area, 2 nice barbecues, the kitchen is well equipped, the A/C works well in all rooms, and we could find everything we needed within the house. The kids also loved the entertainment available.
The host, Ursula, was kind and helpful, provided all the support, and was very open to feedback.

Nous étions 10 et sommes restés 15 jours à la Casa Funda.
Tout d’abord je tiens à remercier chaleureusement Ursula pour sa disponibilité et sa bienveillance à tous les égards. Rarement vu une propriétaire aussi attentionnée avec ses locataires.
La maison est très bien équipée. La cuisine regorge de pleins d'ustensiles, plats divers, et électroménagers. Il y a un. super piano de cuisine, très appréciable quand on est nombreux. Les chambres sont climatisées, il y a 4 salles de bain intégrant chacune des wc.
La piscine est grande. La maison dispose de 2 terrasses ensoleillées, nous n’en avons utilisé qu’une seule, celle donnant sur la piscine car plus conviviale avec la vue sur la piscine et donc sur les enfants !
La maison est située à environ 6 min de Tavira, ce qui est top !
Il vous faut par contre une voiture pour vous déplacer car il n’y a rien à pieds. A noter tout de même la proximité de l’A22 que l’on entend tout de même, mais Cela passe vite au second plan avec la musique et l’amusement qui régnait dans la maison. Je recommande vivement cette maison spacieuse où chacun trouve sa place et peut vaquer librement à ses occupations sans gêner ses co-locataires.

Wonderfully equipped, comfortable house. Very good base for visiting the Portuguese coast.
We were at Casa Funda with a group of friends. The house is perfect. Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped. There is nothing missing. A beautiful large garden with manicured plants and a wonderful, large swimming pool, which is a relaxation on hot days. We spent a great Portuguese holiday.

Spacious and peaceful
We stayed at this lovely villa for an idyllic week. The owner, Ursula is lovely, she was very helpful and she happily answered my barrage of questions! The villa is very spacious - plenty of room for everyone. The photos don't do it justice. Both the villa and studio were much bigger than we expected and ideal for our extended family. The pool is very big with plenty of sun beds and cushions. There is a lovely shady spot under the trees where I spent hours reading! There are two separate outside eating areas- both with BBQ's- one by the pool and one at the back of the property, both with plenty of seating.
There is a large dining room inside which we didn't use but would be great for the colder months. The beds were comfy, bathrooms spacious and the property was spotlessly clean.
We didn't use the aircon much but it was there for when we needed it.
The location is great, very peaceful and has a feeling of being remote but within minutes you are on the main road. A car is essential as nothing is in walking distance everything you need is in easy reach by car and taxis to Tavira are easy to book. Tavira is beautiful and Tavira Island is well worth a trip. We had a lovely holiday

Beautiful clean and spacious accomodation in a peaceful environment with a great pool.
Casa Funda was all and more than the reviews stated. The accommodation was fantastic, plenty of room for two extended families catering for 6 adults 3 young adults and 4 teenagers. They was plenty of games and books on hand to keep everyone entertained. The pool was big and deep enough to allow for a family game of water polo/basketball. It was a peaceful environment but close enough to the town of Tavira, although you do need a car. Taxi from Tavira was only €8. Pego Do Inferno was only 5-10 mins away and was a big hit with all ages. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Casa Funda - fantastic holiday
We loved Casa Funda - it is very spacious indeed with the bedrooms handily spread out, which worked really well for our two parties. It is extremely well equipped with all manner of things, from board games to barbeque utensils, which was ideal with children. We especially liked the large pool which was big enough to accommodate 9 easily. Because it's nicely detached we didn't have to worry about noise from the children which was perfect.
The villa is near Tavira (5/10 min drive) but is far enough away to be quiet and secluded - we found it an ideal location. Tavira itself is a beautiful, unspoilt town with lots of restaurants/cafes. The beach which you reach by train (Ilha de Tavira I think) was very crowded and the waves were so big it wasn't really possible for children to swim - a bit disappointing. However if you travel west you can find beaches where the waves are much smaller, so this wasn't a problem really.
i would really recommend Casa Funda, especially if you have a large group. Ursula was quick to respond to any queries and couldn't have been more helpful. We were very sad to leave!

The right place to relax and rejuvenate
What a wonderful holiday we had at Casa Funda. The villa is a real home from home - it contains everything you need to have a relaxing time. The house is spacious, clean, cool and the gardens are a joy with lemons and limes growing as well as many fragrant flowers.
We wanted a quiet break and that is exactly what we got. As Gemma did some shopping for us we didn't have to go anywhere. After a couple of days of complete relaxation we started to visit some local towns - Tavira being the closest with the river running through it with the beautiful cobbled streets. The villa is well placed for visiting different towns we went to
Towards the end of our break we were really feeling revitalized so we made use of the badminton court and the table tennis table which we enjoyed.
To sum up a beautiful villa, a lovely relaxing place an ideal antidote to living in 2015.

large villa with a lot of atmosphere!
We were 10 persons i total (children, grandchildren, and grandparents - from 13 to 73 years and had a wonderful stay (only too short).
We enjoyed the many terraces and the pool. Lovely garden and surroundings.
Tavira is a beutiful town with a lot restaurents - highly reccommended
Take the small ferryboat to Isla di Tavira and have a nice day at the Beach.
Nitionalpari Ria di Famosa is a must!

Our stay at Casa Funda
We had a wonderful time at Casa Funda. I’ve rented other vacation homes in the past and have been disappointed. This home is the exception. The villa is well laid out, giving ample space for a large family and, at the same time, providing an unusual amount of privacy, because it divides into three areas. The property is well kept with more than adequate supplies of essential household items.
Casa Funda has large terraces and gardens in the front the back. The front terrace surrounds a beautiful swimming pool, well suited for swimming.
The villa is about 4 miles from Tavira, one of the most charming villages in the Algarve. There is an extensive waterfront area with restaurants and other entertainments. Beaches lie on the south side of an island, extending along the coast. Access is by boat and ferry, which helps preserve their charm and relatively modest use, as compared to other tourist destinations.
Casa Funda is highly recommended.

Very charming villa ! Perfect for families !
I've searched a long time to find a holiday villa for two families and this one was perfect for us! We were with 4 adults, 5 children. We also could use the studio but the house was big enough for the nine of us so we didn't need it. Can imagine that it would be perfect if you're having for instance teenagers in the family who want more privacy, they can sleep upstairs in the studio! We much appreciated the lovely pool and different terraces! Also lots of sunchairs, umbrellas, everything is there, inside and outside! We were so happy with the house and already had a BBQ at the first evening! Every evening was so very cosy, with the poollights, very chill! We loved the warm evenings in Portugal... We have seen the west and east-side... Tavira has stolen a place in our heart... If you like authenticity, choose the East! The villa is in a little quiet place but very short drive to supermarket! Also dining in Tavira by the riverside is wonderful. We also went to Santa Luzia... nice to dine at the seaside in a fisherman's restaurant! We loved it! Also had a nice boattrip to Ilha de Tavira... All lovely places overthere!
I also want to thank Ursula, the owner of the house... Unfortunately we didn't meet in Portugal, but I can guarantee that she has a wonderful personality... Not one question is too much... And you can feel her warmth even if she's not there! We were welcomed by Emma and she brought us bottles of wine and cookies from the owners! Hospitality gets all points from us! You feel welcome in the house. Also lots of stuff for the kids! As I mentioned, it has everything... If you choose for a comfortable, nice house with a soul in the lovely Algarve: Casa Funda! All we can say: highly recommended!

great villa just as the pictures show
lovely villa very big and lovely grounds with an orange tree, shame about the weather but could not fault the villa... we had 2 teenage children with us who could have there own space in the annex and everything you could want in the house and a helpful lady who was there to greet us with all the information you would need..
great correspondance even before we got there... would go again but maybe later on in the year when we know the weather would be good as we could not get the full use of the lovely swimming pool available...

Clean spacious house with excellent pool
The property is clean and well maintained. It accommodated three couples, each with their own space so that we had privacy, and could have taken three families without difficulty. The property is set in a large plot and is secluded from neighbours. However, it is within easy reach of Tevira, an attractive town with good restaurants, particularly around the harbour. We took the ferry to the beach (a ten minute drive and five minute ferry). The beach is clean with soft sand and you could either get sun beds with an umbrella or be more adventurous and take your own mat or towel to lie on! However the pool is quite large and we didn't feel it necessary to go to the beach too often.
The camera obscuran in Tevira is well worth a visit - run by an Englishman with an interest in and wide knowledge of such instruments.
We had a very good holiday and would highly recommend it. We hope to go again.

We stayed at Casa Funda for a family holiday and it was absolutely perfect; spacious and with excellent bathroom facilities, wonderfully equipped kitchen, toys and DVD's for the children (and even for me on a few lazy afternoons!), beautiful and peaceful. A fabulous place for chilling out and enjoying some family fun - watching my 73 year old father doing water bombs in the pool with my 5 year old daughter was priceless!

Je voudrais témoigner de ma semaine a casa funda , la maison est fidèle aux descriptifs de l'annonce , le contact avec la propriétaire est extrêmement cordiale , le personnel qui vous accueille sur place est très gentil et d'une disponibilité irréprochable toujours a l'écoute et très professionnel , la maison est sublime vous avez une grande propriété pour vous seul ! c'est ca le luxe :) ,la végétation est bien entretenue par un jardinier très discret et efficace, la piscine est rafraîchissante (elle est magnifique !) grillade au barbecue , ping-pong accès wifi,literie de bonne qualité,climatisation,,repas du soir au bord de la piscine éclairée ,nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable dans cette région magnifique , Tavira est une ville splendide ou vous pourrez y faire de délicieux repas dans les nombreux restaurants.Je remercie particulièrement Ursula pour ce petit coin de paradis,aucun regret , si c'était a refaire je repartirai dès que possible :)

Wonderful villa holiday
Casa Funda is a beautiful villa in a lovely rural location. The pool and large gardens are amazing with plenty of seating for large families and two barbecues for all your cooking needs. The villa is immaculate with lots of nice personal touches such as books, games, films, toys etc. There is also a large screen tv with freeview and internet. Close to beaches, supermarkets and restaurants I can't think of a better place for a holiday. The owners Ursula & Nick are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were met on arrival by their local management team who showed us around and explained where everything was and how to get to the local shops etc. A fantastic place especially for a big family (or two) to spend a wonderful holiday.

MAGNIFICENT!!!
We have just returned from the most wonderful weeks holiday at Casa Funda and cannot compliment it enough. Terry and Nicola were on hand 24/7 to answer any queries, the villa was just divine, perfect to be exact and we were unable to find fault with something. We were a large party of 9 adults and one 13 month old baby. It was exceptional for all of us and catered for all of our needs. We have been fortunate to travel many places but Casa Funda is now top of our list. We will definitely return. The cost of living was phenomenal and with 9 adults who all eat and drink, a minimum amount of money was spent on groceries. To eat out was a joke! 8 euros for the most largest bit of swordfish you have ever seen with chips and vegetables! Amazing! You would get have the food for double the price in England! Thank you Terry and Nicola for allowing us to book this wonderful place and we will be booking with you again soon!!!!!! Maria and family

Casa Funda Great Place to Stay
I have stayed at this Villa on several occasions as a family of 4 and also with my parents and sister and brother inlaw so we have experianced using both the whole Villa and part of it as well .
The Villa is always very welcoming it is clean well equiped and funished to a high quality, the owners always make sure you have all the essentails.
The pool is a good size with plently of sunbeds and a good barbeque, that has always been well used during our stays
You are within easy access to the beach and just across from the Spanish boarder.
The nearest town is Tavira which is only a short drive away with a big daily market plently of shops good restaurants and bars.
A great place to stay and one that you just want to keep coming back to

my family and I had a lovely relaxing time at this well maintained and private villa. Set in rural surroundings plenty of places to explore, just the place to wind down. The town of Tavira is the jewel of the Algarve with lots of places to eat, wonderful atmosphere the place bustles in the evening. We will be back!
