Our favorite vacation spot ~ on the beach, lovely accommodations and beautiful view from the balcony! We have rented this condo for several years now. The owner is always very responsive and helpful. The unit is clean and nicely decorated.

We had a lovely time at APATB. I grew up staying here and getting to share this special place with my kids was really magical.
The location of this condo was fantastic. A short walk to the pool and beach and a beautiful view from the condo itself.
The condo was overall well appointed though some areas do really need some TLC, as others have mentioned. The dishwasher is not properly installed into its space, the sink faucet is loose, the stove burner pans are so corroded they are disintegrating and the shower heads were scaly. Everything WORKED fortunately, but it was concerning we might be held responsible for some of these things and would have appreciated them being mentioned upon our arrival.
Beyond that, no complaints and we would consider renting this property again, though we’d love to see some attention given to the items mentioned above.

Overall we enjoyed the ocean view and the short walk to the beach. The condo does need some TLC -the DW is loose, the kitchen and master bathroom faucets are loose and the switch on the far light next to the master bed does not work - to use the light, you have to plug it in. The internet was very spotty and we missed having a wine opener along with glasses.

This development had something for everyone and every weather- very nice indoor salt water pool and hot tub; super fun outdoor pol with water slide; playground; even mini golf. Our unit was clean and comfortable, spacious for our family of 3, easy access to the beach access but not so close as to be noisy. And, an incredible view on the private deck. 10 out of 10 would stay again.

The view of the ocean was amazing. The condo needs some updates. 1) new mattresses for all the beds or at least a topper. They were so hard it was sleeping in the floor. We only stayed 3 nights and I was ready to leave. 2) No phone service in the condo we had to keep our phone on the bar and not move them to get enough service to make a call. The internet went in and out also. 3) There are no TVs in the bedrooms. 4) The blind in the bunk bed room was stuck all the way up so the light from the hallway shined in all night. 5) If you were in one bathroom and someone turned on the light in the other bathroom the breaker would throw.
Other than these issues we had a good time on the beach and the outside pool.

The location and layout of this condo is great. The view is breathtaking but unfortunately these perks are overshadowed by the lack of maintenance. It’s clear the only purpose of property is to make money without care of the upkeep. There are broken door handles, sliding doors off tracks, all dishes/glasses are mismatched, hole in door stuffed with tissue, floors with cracks, filthy windows you can’t see through, shower heads that trickle water, falling popcorn ceiling, moldy tub, etc. There was a broken sink drain that we had to fix that had a gross hair clog. Over all needs a good cleaning everywhere. It’s clear the property is not loved.

This was such a nice place with a great location to ocean & amenities of the complex. It did not disappoint, the views from balcony were great & just a few steps to be on the beach! We will definitely be back again, the condo had everything we needed! Internet & tv service was good too!

The location was great as we enjoyed long relaxing beach walks. The condo was clean and efficient. We were surprised to find all the hand soaps had been watered down considering the price of an oceanfront condo.. It was a small thing, but was annoying as well as defeated the purpose of the soap. Also felt that a $10 charge for a misplaced rubber band bracelet was just another little price gouging.

The condo was very comfortable and clean and has great access to the beach! The overall size and layout of the condo is perfect, and the rooms are well lit and well decorated.
The pool and facilities are well kept, and the staff is incredibly friendly and gracious!
The only recommendation I have is that some of the shrubs/foliage between the condo and the beach could be trimmed down a small bit as it is starting to reach heights to block the view of the ocean from the 2nd floor.
Would definitely recommend and would like to book again next year for an even longer stay!

This is the third year we have stayed in this condo. The condo is clean, nicely decorated and well supplied, The owners are quick to reply to any inquiries. The direct ocean view is awesome! Our family enjoys vacationing at A Place at the Beach. In addition to the beach, there are many other amenities including the pools, mini golf and food trucks.

The condo itself had an amazing oceanfront location and the neighborhood had great amenities including an amazing pool with water slide- my 4 year old loved it! Kitchen and dining areas were great- bedrooms and bathrooms were pretty spacious. Everything could use a little updating but the entire community itself is older.

Plenty of family friendly amenities including water slide pool, putt-putt, hot tub, indoor pool, easy beach access, tennis/pickleball. We loved the live music by the pool on Friday afternoon.

The condo is oceanfront, which is its best attribute. Beach is nice - wide and flat. Kitchen and baths are fine. Furnishings were comfortable as were the beds. Second bedroom is jammed with beds and claustrophobic. Window in that room is on the corridor, so no sunlight and bright neon light at night.
Major complaint is lack of attention to detail. Front doorknob loose, as was cylinder. Key stuck, took lots of jiggling to get it unlocked. Owner says it will be replaced...didn't help us. Vents are filthy and most things hanging on walls were full of dust. Had sand in one bed, likely from comforter. No blankets, just comforters for beds. TV required a call to owner to decipher and was glitchy. Remotes and unit's instruction book were sticky. The buildings are are older wooden structures. Noise travels easily from corridors and bordering rooms.

The location is great, short walk to beach, lots of activities for families on the property, indoor pool was freezing- we utilized the indoor hot tub. Unit was updated, the secondary shower hot water didn’t work- which we alerted the owner about. Overall a good stay, we would stay there again.

The positives: Fantastic location, plenty of room for 6 people, and property has a lot to do. The unit had everything you could need.
Negatives: Cell service is not good there. It was hit or miss. Very frustrating. Property itself is a little run down, especially the parking lot. They are redoing the outside pool which will be beautiful when done. Check in was a little fiasco . The packet did not have my keys in there. I had to go back

A great low key long weekend. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Lots of things to do at the resort. Miniature golf and the indoor pool we’re the highlights for my granddaughter. Ocean was easily assessable from the unit. We’ll be back!!!

Couldn't ask for a better place to spend our vacation. The view from the condo was lovely. The condo was well supplied and very clean, beds were comfortable. Beautiful View!
The view is beautiful! The space is great! When I made my reservation months before staying, a sofa bed was advertised. When I asked for sheets for the sofa bed, I was informed there is not a sofa bed available and one was not advertised. After checking the sofa, I did find it was a sofa bed. Light bulbs seemed to be burnt out and the lamps in the master bedroom were difficult to operate. Because of communication issues, I will not be renting this space again.

This was the second time that we have stayed in this condo, and we enjoyed it just as much as our first stay. We really enjoyed the ocean-front view and close location to the amenities. There were plenty of activities at the resort to keep our family entertained. Thanks again!

Lovely View
We enjoyed out stay. It was very comfortable for the two of us and we made the most of the balcony and views. We appreciated being near Morehead City and especially Beaufort with restaurants, browsing the shops, and looking at beautiful boats. The kitchen, typical of rental cottage kitchens, was basic.

Absolutely Perfect!
You'll LOVE staying here. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was comfortable, clean, and stylish. The amenities are fantastic—indoor pool, hot tub, and outdoor pool with a long slide. We went as a ladies (long) weekend, but would highly recommend if you have children. The added bonus of this condo is the direct view of the ocean from the deck! Gorgeous! I truly hope to get the opportunity to return to this condo in the future.

Great Place!
Wonderful stay. View is amazing, lots of fun family things to do. Only issue was AC was broken, but received prompt response and they sent someone out. Unfortunately the holiday weekend prevented it from being fixed and it was out of their control! Would stay again!

Fantastic View
The view from the balcony cannot be beat! Sitting outside on the balcony to watch dolphins while listening to the sounds of the ocean and enjoying coffee... absolutely incredible!

Above and Beyond
Our property owner called the day before our arrival to alert us to a short term issue with repairs on the boardwalks at this property and did not want us to get there and be surprised by this. He offered us another property he had and it was fabulous. He did not have to do this and feel he went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our stay. He earned a return customer for sure!
