Great location, Inge and Patricio were very nice and helpful. We love Volterra, especially beatifull old town. The food and staff at restaurant Etruria is amazing.

Great parking outside the villa. You can walk up the hill and steps to the old city without taking your car. Handy kitchenette.

More pillows. Only one per person.

The bus stopped just up the street. Very nice welcome from the couple that runs the place. We really appreciated eating breakfast in the beautiful garden. A nice and short walk to the center of town. Would love to stay here again.

Next time I'll only bring my husband😊

We loved everything about it!

Every single thing. The location, the villa, the garden, the apartment on the inside. Clean, big, open space. Clean bathroom. Great staff. Patricio was such a nice host. Great automatic system to check-in on your own.

Only thing I would suggest is to add a rug to the living room (interior designer’s opinion) also considering the tiles are cold during the night.

loved the location - just a short walk up to the main city. the views out the window were amazing! the check in was easy. having a couple of complementary water bottle and a small fridge in the room was great.

I wish the owner would consider some small amenities. Shampoo, a small piece of soap for the shower, or perhaps some body wash. As a bike traveler, we carry very little in our packs . . .

it was well located and beautifully restored!! i am so grateful when folks take the effort yo restore some of these beautiful former mansions to their original beauty. i understand that it is not always the most cost effective and that it is something of a labor of love!!

The bathroom was a long way from the bedroom but I think that is just representative of the era.

The lock box system to enter your room is bit difficult to learn at first.

Patrizio was super responsive. We made the reservation only an hour before our scheduled arrival and he was graciously available to help us get settled upon our arrival. The villa (partitioned into several apartments) is located only a 10 minute walk from one of the entrances to Volterra. There is ample parking in front too.

Our unit was somewhat chilly, though the beds were warm and comfortable.

The property is beautiful and in a perfect location.

The apartment we stayed in really needed a new bed.

Beautiful Villa, apartment and conveniently located with on site parking. Very close to the historic center via uphill steps and walking. It takes about 5-10 minutes to reach old town. Apartment was very spacious, nicely decorated. Enough dishes and glasses but lacking in condiments and cooking items. AC works well which was great because it was still warm past mid October and too much street noise and some mosquitoes to leave windows open. We loved the many big windows which let in lots of light. We had booked a garden view apartment with a microwave since most of our meals are at home. The first apartment we were shown didn’t have a microwave and when asked, Patrizio showed us another apartment which had one and looked exactly like the apartment photos we had booked. Host was very welcoming and informative. We would recommend this villa.

Would be nice to have a roll of paper towel or napkin and a few more cooking pots and utensils for real meal cooking

Easy access and very close to the old town. Parking was so easy. Host was very accessible and most accommodating. Would stay here again.

it is a beautiful villa property with the most spectacular views and so close to the historic center. it was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately.

We would have appreciated bathroom amenities like shampoo and bath soap and regular coffee rather than ginseng coffee. Also we only had one small roll of toilet tissue and had to go buy some.

Charming old villa, just outside the medieval town centre on top of a hill. The host was very friendly. This was our second stay at Villa Mascagni and we hope to return soon.

No complaints, we had a great stay.

A nice location en apartment. And a friendly host.

The swimming pool at the camping side was not for us.
