I booked this place for 2 nights but due to change on my plans I had to stay only for one night. The policy did not allow any modification, however Vicky (the owner) did everything possible to make my stay easier and comfortable. He accepted an early check-in, so I entered 5 hours before the normal check-in time. He also offered me free lunch and transport to get to the airport on the day of my departure. The place was just amazing! Comfortable room with a nice double bed and a spacious bathroom and good wifi. All very traditional according to the architectural style of the city. The location was unbeatable, just next to the main Haveli (traditional palace museum mansion) and very near to the other two most important Havelis (7 minutes max. walking distance) of Jaisalmer. More or less the same distance to get to the Jaisalmer Fort by foot and approximately 1km away from the Gadisar Lake which is another attraction in the city. Nonetheless, the big plus of the accommodation is its terrace! Having breakfast there or any meal is a must do thing and also get to the highest part of the terrace, offers fairly the best possible view to the Jaisalmer Fort. I recommend checking it both day and night! Overall I had a great stay there and I wish I could have stayed there for more!

By being next to the main Haveli of Jaisalmer, the area can get very crowded during the day but this didn't affect my sleep at all as it starts getting loud after 10 am.

Liked the people, both manager and staff. They were great - both Rajasthanis and Nepalese. They were super friendly and helpful. Vicky was a great help. He organised my excellent desert safari and gave many useful tips to explore Jaisalmer. His elder brother received me with great enthusiasm in another Killa Bhawan Lodge inside the fort. There also the Nepalese staff were great. The room was super cosy and nicely decorated with Rajasthani arts and antiques. The AC functioned well, which is super important during the hot season.

We really enjoyed our time at Killa Bhawan Lodge. Vicky was so nice and really went out of his way to help us get around Jaisalmer, find the right places to eat, visit and shop and made us feel at home at once. Thanks so much!!

After 6 weeks of traveling across all of India this was the best guest house we stayed in, hands down. The hotel and rooms are wonderfully decorated, the hotel roof top cafe has a fantastic view of fort that can’t be beaten, the food was delicious (get the thali special and upgrade the lassi), but without a doubt it was Vicky the owner who made this place special, what a lovely and kind host! We only stayed here one night but not only did he offer to hold our bags for us, he sat down and planned our itinerary with us, gave sensible recommendations of things to do, how to get there, and local tips on where to shop and how much to bargain. Not only did he offer us the best chai in town multiple times during our stay (as well as many several bottles of cold water) he even took us into the kitchen to show us how to cook it, and also sent us to his brothers’ hotel inside the fort for free chai with a wonderful view looking out over the city. Vicky made us feel like we had an old friend in this city, and that’s something money can’t buy. Thank you Vicky for being a wonderful host

We arrived with the early train from Delhi (5.30 am) and we were able to do an early check-inn without any extra cost. Vicky, the manager of the hotel was very helpful and efficient. We had a great stay and we will definitively recommend this place. We enjoyed very much the view from the roof top.

KB Lodge is an original haveli a short walk from the fort through the beautiful winding alleyways of Jaiselmer. It’s a fantastic building. We loved staying here. Vicki the owner is an incredible host and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The food in the rooftop restaurant was delicious! The malai kofta was a standout.

I’m ecstatic for my decision to stay here in KB Lodge. Everything about this property was beyond my expectation. It was located right next to the famous “Patwon ki Haveli”. Sadar Bazar is also in close vicinity. It has a beautiful cozy roof top restaurant with aesthetic decor and impressive food options. They served lip smacking dishes (specially veg). You can enjoy the view of golden fort from the roof. The room was also good with all important amenities (mentioned during booking) in working condition. Room service was very prompt. You are allowed to wake up late and still enjoy your complementary breakfast. The manager of the property (Vicky ji) was the most well mannered guy we met in Rajasthan. He was gracious enough to help us with all the information required to explore Jaisalmer. He personally looked after us and ensured we receive everything we needed on priority. I’m highly impressed with the overall experience and willing to visit here once again very soon for a longer duration.

The view from the rooftop was amazing The rooms are big and very clean (they cleaned the room as many time as we wished during our 5 nights stay) The breakfast was good and you can have it whenever you wake up (no need to hurry) and unlimitef tea coffee all day were really appreciated We recommand you to try the dinner there ! Vicky and the staff were perfect : lot of very kind attentions (Help for the airport and desert trip, tips to visit the city and many more) ! They made our stay there unforgettable.

owner gives you personal attention and make sure you are very comfortable. central location in the city. restaurant and cafe have amazing roof top view to jaisalmer fort. breakfast is included and have no timings, allows late breakfast too. also food at the property is very tasty (better than other restaurants we tried in city)

K.B Cafe is brilliant. the view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant is stunning. Vicki the host is brilliant and knows the best place to visit and what to look out for. The Food is 5 Star. It is also the only place in India we stayed where Breakfast was included which really made the place special. I would recommend you stay here if you're reading this review. When we come back this is the first place we will be booking.
