location, comfortable, 2 bathrooms. very nice overall

oval sinks and design of kitchen is a little clunky when for example you open the dishwasher and access to other cupboards, but this is being very picky! the owners sent us to a car park which actually cost us quite a bit overnight! they could provide some reassurance by giving a suggestion on street parking rather than saying you can find one if you’re lucky. in the end I found a good spot for parking by going past the multi story partaking they recommend, turning right up the one way street and then turning left down the one way street which heads onto the Main Street near Lidl. this street is free.

The apartment is amazing, very well located, fully equipped, the rooms are very good and the reception very attentive!

Last night before we left there was an issue in one of the bathrooms with smell of sewer gas . It was very strong. We couldn't use the bathroom again

It's massively central, like literally on the same square as the Cathedral, but because the old town is mostly pedestrianised, there's no traffic noise, so it's lovely and quiet. That does mean there's no parking, but we don't drive, so we don't care. If anything it's a good thing. Adds to the medieval feel of the place. The apartment was comfortable, large, well-furnished, with high ceilings, quiet, had AC in every room, really nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, clean towels, good lighting. There were plenty of places close by to eat and go out. If you want to stay in the old town of Braga, I doubt you could do better in terms of location, facilities, comfort. The hosts sent us recommendations for places to eat, places to go, vineyards, loads of stuff. We didn't have a chance to do most of them but it was a really hospitable thing. There were also guidebooks in the apartment, which we used.

A couple of things weren't amazing. To be clear though, none of these things ruined our stay or even affected it a lot, they were just... things that could have been better. 1) There was a smell coming from the ensuite bathroom in the middle of the night. I think it was the drains but it was pretty penetrating. 2) The apartment description mentions a balcony. There is no balcony, not even a hint of one. It does not exist, and that was a bit disappointing. 3) Although there was a coffee machine, and there were coffee pods for the machine, there wasn't any sugar. Now I know it might be a bit much to provide sugar, but we had to go and buy a kilo of it just to make a coffee, so even a couple of sachets would have been nice. 4) We turned on the TV and it didn't work. This is, I admit, partly because I don't understand how TVs work. I genuinely grappled with it for about 30 minutes and then gave up. We found out from the hosts on the day we left that it was because of something to do with the input settings, but it was obviously too late by then. 5) The pillows were really soft. If you like soft pillows great, I don't, I like them really really firm. 6) If you don't like waking up early, you might be bothered by the sound of the cathedral bells from around 8am. They aren't insanely loud, and the apartment is soundproofed, but they're there. Personally, I found them fairly amusing and kind of quaint, but I'm me. So the only thing that was really wrong was the lack of balcony. That's something I think shouldn't be on the description if it isn't true.

The property is in the perfect location, close to the centre, restaurants, bars and anything else you may need. The property is clean and very well outfitted for short or long stays. The owners are very helpful and nothing was a problem for them. It would be one of the best places to stay in Braga and we will definitely stay there again.

There is nothing to not like about the property. It is on a pedestrian street with no parking, however there is plenty of paid and free parking nearby.
