Die Talstation der Feldbergbahn ist zu Fuß in weniger als 10 Minuten gut zu erreichen. Meine Einzelzimmerausstattung war zwar einfach, aber zweckmäßig und neuwertig, das Bett gut.

Das Hotel beschreibt sich selbst auf seiner Speisekarte mit "Hüttencharakter"; die einzelnen Zimmer sind - zumindest teilweise - der sogenannten "Trekkingklasse" zugeordnet. Nach meinem Gesamteindruck eignet sich das Haus im Sommer besonders für Gruppen, Schulklassen o.Ä. und weniger für Einzelreisende. Dies hat sich auch darin gezeigt, dass das Frühstücksbüfett eher für diesen Personenkreis dargeboten worden ist (z.B. Camembertlaib im Kiloformat, Frischkäse und andere Aufstriche im Eimer). Hierfür war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (14 € für das Frühstück) nach meinen bisherigen Hotelerfahrungen vergleichsweise unangemessen. Die Zusammensetzung des Gesamtpreises lt. Angebot für das Einzelzimmer mit Frühstück (80,15 €/Nacht) war teilweise nicht nachvollziehbar begründet (Umweltabgabe von 9 € und Kurtaxe von 3 €), zumal ich vor Ort als sogenannte Übernachtungssteuer zusätzlich noch 2,70 € zu zahlen hatte. Insofern betrachte ich auch den Gesamtpreis für überhöht. Das WLAN wurde mir nur vom Tourismusverband bereitgestellt ("Hochschwarzwald Public"), hat aber gut funktioniert.

Urige Atmosphäre und saubere Zimmer. Sehr nettes Hüttenwirtspaar, das einen sofort in die Familie aufnimmt.

Leider sind die Zimmer etwas hellhörig

The breakfast was very tasty and complete. The staff helpful and attent. The lift area has many useful stores and restaurants nearby, and the bus only needs 10 min to reach the town

The hotel walls were a little too thin, so you can clearly hear your neighbours.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The owner was really nice and welcoming. He offered me gluten free options for the breakfast too. Although the toilet and shower weren't in the room everything was so clean.

The only negative thing is the bad Internet connection.

I came here to ski a few weeks ago. The hospitality of the owners is what will have me coming back to this hotel, I am glad to have picked this location.

Hosts were very kind. Breakfast was great. While shower and toilets are shared facilities, the room still had its own sink.

Wifi was limited to the lobby/dining area & there was a restriction on amount of time - luckily, I was able to register using my multiple emails to extend the time needed.

Super nice owner, very warm hearted. Hotel is clean and location is good, not far from hiking trails and near the cable cars. Breakfast is good.
