The setting and atmosphere of this traditional Ryokan was beautiful. Situated in the mountains, surrounded by forest and with its own spacious Onsen, this place has all the features of a perfect stay. The tatami mats are made and the rooms are large.

Unfortunately the decor is slightly gloomy and definitely outdated. The Ryokan provides dinner however this was a little too pricey and there are many alternatives in town.

Nice place to stay! The bathing facility’s was good! The setting is in the forest and it feel very calm even if it´s only 2 hours’ drive from Shibuya (3 in rush hour). The breakfast is very much worth the extra money!

Very quiet place, located on the roadside in the middle of the mountains, only accessible by car. Their hot spring has a high quality, silky alkaline water that is great for the skin. Affordable price (for Japanese ryokan standards). Beautiful view of the greenery from the room. The only thing you can hear is birds singing.

The facilities need renovation (which are due to June or July this year, according to the owners). Dinner option is an expensive kaiseki-style meal, which is too much food. It would be nice if they had more affordable and light options, like soba, curry rice or donburi.
