As a family of 10 spending Christmas and New Year in Barbados Dene Court could not of been a more ideal choice. This was home from home cleanliness and comfort with the perfect location. The staff, from the chef to the gardener are all friendly, hard working and willing to help when needed. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. Richard the chef creates wonderful meals breakfast, lunch and dinner if needed. Dene Court also has the benefit of Winston the security guard each night. We are looking forward to our next visit to Barbados and would not hesitate to book Dene Court again.

Property is fantastic , very well maintained and supported discretely by Real Tours and the daily staff. We wanted extra facilities as we had a very young baby in the party and a cot, high chair, and table tennis facility were made available prior to our arrival. There was bad weather (storm) during the visit and again we were made aware of safety procedures and we felt very secure. Because of the baby we spent a lot of time at the property , the Sandy Lane beach and we mainly dined at home. Richard is an able cook and if you are specific about your timings, likes and requirements he does deliver. Janelle was quietly efficient and was very mindful of the baby's timetable. The holiday was all that we wanted it to be, lazy , superbly looked after in a super property in a great location . I personally spent ages walking the baby on the Old 9 and watching the golfers play was fun. The fortnight passed all too quickly and we were very sad to leave.

My family and I stayed for two weeks at Dene Court in Sandy Lane, and I can say without hesitation that our expectations were not only met but exceeded. The property is incredibly spacious, it manages to be both colonial in style, whilst incorporating all modern luxuries (in particular the master suite and all the en-suite bathrooms). We were looked after by Richard and Janelle, who were extremely friendly, discrete and left us feeling very spoilt. Richard, the chef, talked to us about our food preferences, came shopping with us, and then cooked some fantastic meals that would not be out of place in a top restaurant. Winston, the night security guard, was friendly, a great source of local knowledge and always willing to help with any queries we had. We had a 5 month old baby with us, and I had expected this to be a more challenging holiday, but the agents and staff made every aspect stress free. No small task! The gardens are large, immaculately maintained and a pleasure to walk around, especially first thing in the morning with a coffee. The property is well located in Sandy Lane and we made good use of the private beach, that the Sandy Lane property owners have use of, this had also just been renovated to include a large lounge area and bar. Overall, the house, Richard, Janelle, and Winston made this an amazing holiday. Having been to the caribbean a dozen times this is most luxurious holiday we have ever had, and we will definitely be looking to come back soon.

My husband and I have enjoyed yet another amazing stay at this beautiful property. Our stay was made comfortable and relaxing by the surroundings and Janelle and Richard. Winston went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and nothing was to much trouble. The house is well equipped ,clean and with a great pool. It was a perfect base for exploring the island and coming back home in the evening to a relaxed cocktail before dinner. We were close to excellent restaurants .... The recently refurbished Tides restaurant is worth a visit. The beach at sandy Lane never ceases to deliver. We look forward to our next trip to Dene Court. Thank you for a memorable trip.

The time spent at Dene Court truly exceeded our expectations and will surely be a family vacation we'll never forget. The service provided by the Villa staff (Richard, Janelle, Elizabeth and Winston) allowed our party of ten to unwind, refresh, and make the most of our time together. Upon arrival, we were cheerfully greeted with cold towels to help offset the heat. The property manager walked us through the accommodations and gave us a tour of the stunning property. The five bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, were clean and beautifully maintained. The open-concept living quarters provided curated areas that could flex between quiet reading to board game group fun. Grounds were well-landscaped, which beautifully nestled the property and provided a lush, intimate environment. The pool was clean and large enough to be enjoyed by all - young and old. Throughout our stay, Janelle and Elizabeth ensured that the villa was cleaned daily and clothing left in room hampers were laundered and ironed. Each day Richard prepared delicious local dishes and graciously accommodated our request throughout the week. Our favorite meal was the Bajan Cou-Cou and Flying Fish which he went with us to the fish market to buy fresh. He was sure to have an option for the children who were not ready to be as adventurous (much enjoyed pasta). The property was guarded every evening from 6pm-6am by Winston who was friendly and added more piece of mind. Dene Court is definitely a place we'd love to return to for future vacations!

We have stayed at Dene Court now on a number of occasions and this time with the family and friends, including a young baby. Once again we all had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The house is very comfortable. The five bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and each with an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The inside and outside living areas are spacious and plenty of sitting areas. Janelle and Elizabeth both quietly worked very hard each day keeping the house clean, changing the beds and washing and ironing all our clothes. They quietly cleared up after us each time we were out. Janelle also helped with serving and clearing dinner when required. Richard the chef was excellent. We talked to him about meals and recipes, took him to the supermarket to shop and picked up a variety of fish that he had ordered from Paynes Bay fish market which he then served in a variety of delicious dishes. We ate at the house most days for breakfast, lunch and dinner and his meals were varied and very tasty. Everything that we bought was used creatively for different meals. He was very flexible about our indecision on meal times and numbers for meals and just worked around it. There was always a pot of tea ready early in the morning and rum punch in the evening. Even the baby had little pots of fresh fruit or vegetables prepared each day. Nothing was too much trouble. Winston the security guard was always there in the evening and overnight. He was helpful and interested in our day. We all made full use of the large pool and there was always a plentiful supply of towels for the pool and beach. The gardens were spacious and well looked after. We used the Sandy Lane Owners Beach and sun loungers on many occasions for swimming, snorkelling and various boat trips. Richard would also make up a box of goodies to take for sundowners on the beach. Another lovely holiday at Dene Court. Thanks - we will be back.

I stayed as a guest at Dene Court The villa was beautiful and very comfortable It was always kept clean and the linen was clean and regularly changed The staff were helpful and always there to help An added bonus was the laundry was always done and returned to you and was included in the cost of the rental The gardens were well kept and were very pleasant to sit in It was really good to have the private beach facility at the Sandy Lane Property Owners Beach The beach attendants were  very helpful and it was good to have the loungers and umbrellas to use Altogether a very special holiday and I will definitely be returning

We stayed at Dene Court in April 2015 and were not that impressed. The house is nice, not spectacular. We were asked not to use the air conditioning during the day - which wasn't a huge deal other than at naptime, at which point we just turned it on. Note that there is NO air conditioning in the main rooms of the house, only the bedrooms. Thus, at dinnertime we sweated through our clothing - not so pleasant, especially when eating a hot meal. Had we known this before we went, I wouldn't have packed a maxi dress or pants, so be forewarned. The pool was great, very clean and a nice size. We spent practically all day in the pool. There were a fair amount of towels but not enough for everyone to have one in the morning and one after lunch - so my suggestion is to get a few more towels. The access to Sandy Lane beaches was a nice perk - a very short drive away and the beach was almost always deserted - it felt like a private beach! There was even a small bar there, open sporadically, where you could get cocktails (delicious!). The water was gorgeous and crystal clear. I wouldn't suggest walking to the beach - there is no shoulder on the road, it's blind in a lot of places, and the people drive fast! We definitely weren't going to attempt it with children. Staff: Janelle and her deputy (Becky?) were awesome, and our laundry came back clean and beautifully folded and ironed. The rooms were always clean, and they worked around our children's nap schedules. We were not impressed by Richard. His food was average, although there were a few stand-out dishes; unfortunately one of those was not the raw-in-the-center pancakes. We felt as if he was resistant to being asked to do the shopping, which other reviewers had mentioned he would do. He gave us attitude. Our first day there, we worked for 2 hours trying to determine a menu - when I feel like, had Richard just sat down with us and opened a dialog, we could have had something decided much easier. However, the sour note was that one day he left at lunchtime without telling us that he wouldn't be there to serve supper. (Note: if you want dinner after 6:30pm, be prepared to heat it up yourselves). He just disappeared, and although left dinner to be heated, did not leave instructions with anyone. To make matters worse, when we contacted the agent, he lied to them and said that he had told us he would be leaving. We did not appreciate this behavior. Also, the staff gets one day off, so again, heads up.

Fantastic villa and experience. The staff are incredibly helpful and make for a really relaxing break. The villa is wonderful and use of the private facilities at Sandy Lane is great. Probably my favourite holiday destination. We will certainly be back (as soon as we can)!

I stayed at Dene Court as part of my vacation and a business trip I found it an oasis to return home to after being out all day The staff were very helpful and helped to make everything very comfortable for us The villa was very well-appointed and the various parts of the villa available for reading, relaxing, listening to music and just savouring a long drink made staying in this villa very appealing The gardens are very well kept and make an excellent alternative space to use The pool is kept clean and is always welcoming for a swim Richard is an excellent chef and we were constantly given excellent beautifully presented meals . His butternut squash soup was quite simply the best soup that I have ever tasted! He was also happy to make us canapés and made us an excellent picnic to take with us on our tour of the island The supermarket is close by and Richard was happy to discuss our menus with us and assist with the shopping Janelle kept the house clean and was always happy to help us if we needed it There were excellent restaurants locally to choose from if you wanted to go out to eat Winston was the night watchman and was there to help us with any questions we had I would certainly consider returning to this villa after a most enjoyable stay

A thoroughly enjoyable vacation! Dene Court was the perfect home for our family of 11 ( 7 adults and 4 grandkids) to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The staff goes above and beyond to make it so enjoyable! Richard, the Chef, could not have been better. Janelle and Stacey were wonderful as housekeeper and laundress? Winston, night security, and Junior, the gardener, added to our enjoyment. Everyone enjoyed visiting with Winston each evening at 6PM and with Junior each morning. You have put together an excellent & professional staff that make enjoying your home easy no matter the ages of the guests. We ate out one night at Sandy Lane Hotel. If we had it to do over, every meal would be at Dene Court with Richard as our chef. My only surprise was when Betty, who manages the outside area for you, indicated she was not happy with Junior, the gardener. I thought Junior was doing an excellent job. Junior did a good job of keeping the entire property in first class condition. We all enjoyed your lovely pool, and the private beach. Our three children, their spouses & our 16 yr old grandson enjoyed the Scuba Dives, the surfing and the paddle boarding that Vern Best set up for us. Vern is a very efficient person with whom I enjoyed working. Suzie was also very helpful. Our three younger grandkids (6, 5 & 4 yrs) thoroughly enjoyed Dene Court's pool and your private beach. Your staff made each grandchild feel very special. We have been fortunate to have had many excellent family vacations in different parts of the world. This one ranks as one the best. Everyone hated to leave. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy Dene Court. It is a special place with special people as your staff who meet and exceed one's expectations! We spent ten wonderful days at this villa where we were thoroughly spoilt. The staff were excellent. Richard is an excellent cook. He has a variety of dishes, beautifully presented and is happy to discuss the menus with you and will cater to your budget. We had delicious packed lunches made for us to take to the beach and lovely afternoon tea. We particularly enjoyed having cocktails on the terrace at sunset and Richard made delicious canapes to accompany. One of our party had a special diet and Richard catered for him without any problem. Our clothes were washed and the villa cleaned each day by Janelle. The gardens are beautifully kept and there are several areas where you can sit quietly to read or enjoy the lovely breezes. The nearby restaurants are of a very high standard and easy to reach. The Sandy Lane beach facilities are excellent but the lovely pool at the villa meant we did not always leave to go to the beach. This is our second stay at Dene Court and we would certainly go again. I would highly recommend this villa for a thoroughly relaxing holiday.

We arrived at Dene's Court and from the moment we drove through the gates we knew that it would be a fabulous vacation. We were 3 couples celebrating 25 years of marriage and the home and its grounds exceeded our expectations. The home is extremely well maintained and we have experience renting homes as this is our 3rd rental on the west coast. The staff - Richard the chef, Janelle the house keeper, Winston- evening security and Junior the grounds keeper all were amazing in each of their duties. Each performed their jobs with professionalism, and often you didn't even know they were around. Richard shared his kitchen with me, and Janelle did a wonderful job keeping up with the 6 of us and we even took pictures of the laundry that she cleaning for us - it looked so pretty. Winston kept us feeling safe at night and well the property is more that spectacular. The outdoor fresco dinning was amazing and with the cool Bajan breeze, we were all to enjoy all meals outside. The pool was suitable for lap swimming and I was able to swim in the early morning sunshine. Having access to Sandy Lanes beach was very handy - it was a short walk ( 10 minutes downhill) past the golf course- however if you had any mobility issues the walk back up the hill could be challenging. We oftener walked into Holtown (15 minutes) which provides everything you need - groceries, banks and restaurants. But you probably will not want to eat anywhere else but at Dene's Court as Richard's menu is equal to a 5* restaurant. We even walked to Payne's Bay fish market where Richard arranged for us to pick up the "fresh catch" of the day and he prepared a wonderful buffet of 3-4 different fish dishes. Make sure he makes something with curry - outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you make Dene's Court your home away from home!! Thanks for the great memories

I had the opportunity to stay at Dene court recently and had a wonderful holiday. Dene court exceeded all expectations. This beautiful home is well appointed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Although well positioned for world class restaurants we ate in on several evenings as Richard the chef is an accomplished chef and was always willing to produce the most wonderful meals. An added benefit was the beach at sandy lane with the private beach club facilities. It was difficult to decide if we should go to the beach as the gardens at Dene court are immaculate and great for just sitting and enjoying a rum punch. We look forward to returning and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the beautiful home to our friends and family.

Dene Court is a luxurious villa ideal for a big party. The full time chef, Richard, works very hard to cater to every need of the guests. He serves excellent Caribbean food, along with cooked breakfasts and lunches if required, not to forget picnics and great cakes for afternoon tea. He even did all the shopping for us so we didn't have to spend any time in food shops! The two other staff made sure the villa was kept spotlessly clean and provide clean towels daily and attended to any laundry needs we had. Overall this was a fantastic place to celebrate a big birthday with a large group of friends, I would highly recommend it!

Dene Court is exactly as shown in the picture profile. The owner has updated all of the bathrooms and the linens. The charming staff do their very best to accommodate your every need. Richard the chef, will work with whatever food you purchase and he adds a lovely Bajan flavor, if that is your preference. Janelle keeps Dene Court impeccably clean. This house is excellent, for relaxing around a wonderfully spacious pool and outdoor area. It is attached to The Sandy Lane Home Owners club, which is a few minutes away. The beach there, is one of the best on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would consider this property again in the future!

Ten of us had a fabulous time at Dene Court. The house was just lovely and presented us with the ideal location to relax and unwind. From the good-sized pool, to the comfortable terrace, and friendly but not intrusive staff we were all impressed. The house itself is well-appointed, and since our last visit the rooms have been given a make-over and some fabulous bathrooms have been created. However we didn't spend too much time in our rooms preferring to relax on the terrace beside the pool. The chef Richard is a real find - not only did he cook us some great Bajan dishes but he was a real pleasure to deal with. His rum punch was pretty good too and he kept us all well hydrated. Likewise the housekeeping staff were efficient and pleasant too. From booking taxis to booking restaurants and advising us on where to go, they all did their bit. Our realtor too was efficient and booked us into Sandy Lane where we enjoyed a lovely lunch. We also dined at Daphne's but our favourite bar was a bit further along - it was just a wee beach bar but we had a lot of fun there. Some of us did use the Sandy Lane beach - but mainly to go for a walk in the morning. Our own pool was so pleasant to relax beside we didn't really need to leave the house. I would definitely recommend the house, we have been before, and we would certainly go back.

Beautiful property with pool, in luxurious Sandy Lane. The most spectacular aspect was the staff. Richard was not a cook but a trained chef. Janel was the most pleasant woman who stayed out of sight, cleaned and washed laundry each day. This was a true vacation with no work on my part...lunches were packed for us, food bought, beds made, floors and baths cleaned each day, etc. We will make it an annual stay.

We have been home for a week and we are still raving about our joint family vacation. We were a group of 9, two families with 5 children ages 6-11. We all had an amazing holiday!! We have vacationed at many "all inclusive" resorts in several countries. This was the first time that we travelled to the Barbados and the first time renting a villa. This vacation exceeded all of our expectations! Nancy the home owner was great to deal with as were the managing agents. The arrangements for transfers from the airport and car rental by Realtors Agent were perfectly coordinated. We were greeted by Richard/chef, Janelle/laundress and Property manager upon arrival. The villa was beautiful and suited our needs perfectly. Richard had a wonderful chicken stir fry for dinner that was gobbled up by our hungry crew. Richard went out of his way to make the most amazing Bajan meals for us. He was kind enough to do the shopping for us and we gave him the go ahead to surprise us with meals of his selections. He never disappointed!! He was also able to keep the costs for food very reasonable. Richard introduced us to many fantastic flavours and new foods. The groups new favourite was the breadfruit which Richard picked from a tree himself. We were spoiled with delicious deserts. The kids loves the pancakes. He often did 3 meals a day for us. All the meals were amazing! The table was dressed every night in a new theme. Dinners were an event that we all looked forward to. Janelle is lovely, quiet and hard working. It was such a nice treat to bring home clean fresh clothing! We enjoyed our nightly check in's with Winston,the night security. He would ask about our day etc, he would share information about the island. He never overstayed his welcome. Despite the presence of the staff it was never intrusive. We felt very safe walking/jogging in and around the Sandy Lane area. We went to the private owners beach everyday. It was the first beach we have been to where the kids could swim/snorkel safely in calm water everyday. Our afternoons were quietly spent by the pool, taking a break from the high sun. The kids enjoyed observing the troop of monkeys that would visit in the afternoon. I could go on and on... This holiday has raised the bar for future travel! It will be very hard to beat this trip. We can't wait to return to Dene court. We have also be recommending it to our friends. Thank you Nancy!!!

A beautifully presented villa in a delightful setting on the Sandy Lane Estate, with quick access to golf courses and the Estate's wonderful private beach. The staff were polite, attentive and very efficient. The presentation and quality of Richard's meals was exemplary and would not look out of place in the local, top class restaurants. The villa's gardens are very well kept and make for a peaceful and tropical setting. Overall, we had a thoroughly relaxing holiday at Dene Court and would highly recommend it.

This is our second time staying at Dene Court and we will be back. The pictures do not deceive! This is a lovely property - beautiful house, well-maintained tropical gardens, very clean pool and close to the beach, shopping etc. on the West Coast. It was the perfect location for my 50th celebrations! The owner and the staff at the house are extremely helpful and accommodating. We had the most exquisite meals prepared by the chef during our stay equivalent to any meal that could be served at the many restaurants on the island. We highly recommend this property!
