Lovely property, with river at bottom of garden, ha d everything you need. We had a lovely stay for my Dad’s 80th Birthday

Where do I start, from the location to the property everything was just fantastic. A stunning large house in the forest overlooking the Nethy River. My children loved playing in the river everyday and the views from the house were stunning. None of us watched TV. Sitting around the fire in the evening staring at the silhouette of the forest was just dreamy. Nethy bridge was a beautiful place with great cafe and amenities walkable from the property. Thank you Lara for letting us stay. We are already looking forward to booking again!

Great property in wonderful location!

Our stay in An Cala was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The layout of the house worked so well for our family group (grandparents, children and grandchildren). A sliding door between the snug and the large living area is genius. The adults chatted around the cosy woodburner while the grandchildren watched tele in the snug without disturbing each other. We loved the large living space (high ceilings); felt as if there was ample space for the 8 of us to do our own thing while together in the same room. An extremely well equipped home, beautifully clean set in the stunning highlands. Lots to do in the area (grandchildren skied at Lecht, visit to nearby Highland Wildlife Park, lots of forest walks searching for fairy houses) but also ovely to stay in and read. We even built a 1000 piece jigsaw together - a first for us! Lara was brilliant. Responded swiftly to text or email and arrived within minutes to fix the hot tub cover when it blew off overnight. Don't miss the fish and chip van in the village on a Monday and do try the excellent pizza from Andersons. An cala is truly a haven.

Lovely house with a great location for exploring Cairngorms and whisky distilleries in the area. Hot tub was a much-needed perk!

We had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay at An cala. Its a wonderful spacious and beautiful accomodation which had everything you needed. Lara was a very attentive host. Perfect for a family getaway as great surrounding area in a very pretty Scottish village. Loved it!

This lovely house is located on the bank of a river, very picturesque and peaceful. We stayed in January 22 during a cold snowy spell which made it even more magical with the log burner and the steaming hot tub in the snow! The house is spotless and well presented and maintained. Lara, our host was very accessible and accommodating without being visible which was lovely. Nethy Bridge is lovely Highland village with lots of accessible forest walks, the locals are friendly and there is a lovely cafe (Nethy House) with great coffees, cakes and food in the village. Highly recommended!

There were 9 of us staying in the house which was big enough for all of us. The house was beautiful and really well equipped. The surroundings were idyllic with the sound of the River Nethy providing a calming setting. We were able to contact the host if needed and she responded in good time. The worst thing about our holiday was having to leave. We will definitely be returning.

This was our first break in over a year and a half, and it didn’t disappoint. It was very warm and comfortable, and because of the floor to ceiling windows in the lounge, it brought the views of the woodland in. Despite the wet weather the walks that were numerous nearby, made it a perfect location to enjoy the area of Nethy Bridge. The facilities and furnishings were easy to use and very comfortable, and we would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

The property is wonderful, Lara has been so attentive to detail and everything you could possibly need is there. It's even better than the photos, and we would recommend it to anyone. We'll definitely be back again.

Great accommodation. Children loved the hot tub. Very well equipped. Central location with walks available from the front door. Beds are very comfortable and everything on hand for a relaxing holiday.

Very well equipped, had more than enough of everything eg utensils, cutlery to do more than all guests. Place is stunning and just as you see in photos. Even bigger than we had expected

A very comfortable, clean and family friendly home. Plenty of nearby activities. Well appointed with everything you would need during your stay. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and the Christmas tree and decorations were also a lovely touch. The only complaint during the whole week was a bulb didn’t work so really this is an excellent choice for any family young or old looking for a holiday property in this area.

We stayed at An Cala for a birthday surprise weekend with my parents. It was really beautiful, setting is so peaceful. We had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived and the hosts were on hand and very helpful. The house is stunning and the outdoor space was relaxing. My friend and I took our 3 young boys here for a mini break. The house is beautiful, had everything we needed. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely (rainy) stay in this very special house. Beautiful setting next to the river and a wonderful feeling of calm as soon as we walked in. The hot tub was a great addition and nothing had been overlooked by the owners- everything you could possibly need. My only quibble is that the use of air fresheners and room diffusers was overwhelming when we first walked in which was rather off putting. But that soon disappeared and we had a thoroughly wonderful stay in this very comfortable and cosy house. Thanks you Lara for your hospitality
