We love it! everything was great !

Lovely, airy room. Very comfortable bed and most importantly not affected by loadshedding!! We would definitely return to The Mayflower.

Room was spacious and nicely appointed.

The entrance facility to the property and garaging is quite claustrophobic. The gardens leading to the house entrance are very overgrown. The carpets in the room of the unit we were allocated looked very old and in need of a good clean. The bathroom is also very cramped.

Property as described. Comfortable and quiet. Check in and out is an easy process and a very nice host. A good budget option for the area

Note that there are some stairs to get to your room, and the hosts stay on the property. This is very clear from the room description but it is worth noting.

We liked everything about this stay especially that the owners had installed solar power so we were not impacted in any way by power black outs.

Close proximity to the Hermanus Day Hospital and very comfortable room. Very helpful and friendly hosts.Jenny offered to pick my husband up in the evening when he was discharged. Much appreciated!

Location very convenient for the town centre and cliff walks. Secure parking is available. The property has solar panels and a power backup system, so is not affected by blackouts. The host took time to provide us with suggestions for local activities.

Everything we needed within a compact but easily large enough studio for a short stay. The bed was very large and it, and the bedding, were divinely comfortable - we could have spent a day in it. Great shower too. Kitchen area is small but has everything you need to home cater dinner if you wish. Wooden deck with BBQ and seating perfect for sitting / eating outside. The weather during our visit meant we did not need Aircon but I could imagine that it would be a plus during hotter / more humid times Jenny is a great host - super friendly and helpful. Chatty but not overly so.

Great having dstv with sports channels that worked even during loadshedding - as did everything else. Nice balcony and lovely side view over the garden to the mountains. Large comfortable room with sofa and cooking facilities. Didn't use the pool but it's nicely positioned in a pretty garden.

Nothing really. Not crazy about big dogs, especially as my wife is frail just now, but the owner controlled him. And I'm sure he was friendly enough.

We were so happy with our room the location was in walking distance to restaurants and the harbour. Jenny is an incredible helpful and is kind and bubbly. We will be back again !

The accomodation was nice, but it could use a refurbishment.

It is exactly as the pictures, we went for our anniversary and the little touch of the card wishing us well with chocolates was a wonderful personal touch, Jenny is absolutely delightful, and everything was on point, the fact that we didn't experience loadshedding which was a awesome bonus, we have already told our family and friends about the place :-)

Loved everything

The location of the property to the beach and town was excellent. The room was lovely and big and had everything we needed as well as a balcony with views of the Mountains.

Awesome overall. Great host family, fantastic hospitality, amazing room, location and feeling. Absolutely, felt like home. Everything was super easy, house is just off the main road so super quiet, yet accessible to everything you need. Tons of recommendations and tips on Hermanus. Totally worth every penny and for sure I would strongly recommend.
