The location was ideal, right in the middle of Reeth, close to all amenities. The bed was extremely comfy and the room was clean. Our hosts, Terry and Hannah were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. The breakfast room had a lovely calming atmosphere and the food was cooked to order and was delicious.

We stayed in the Annexe. It was very well laid out and spotlessly clean. The kitchen, where we self catered, was extremely well equipped with good-quality matching crockery, glass ware, and cutlery. The central heating worked well and made the Annexe very cosy in March. Terry and Hannah were excellent hosts. Reeth is a great base as one has both the benefit of the lovely village and the Dales on the doorstep. We loved it and would recommend it whole heartedly.

Terry and Hannah are lovely hosts; warm, welcoming, attentive and considerate. I have been to Reeth and the surrounding area many times, but this was my first stay at Arkleside, which is just off the village square. Our rooms were snug, well equipped and scrupulously clean, as was the bathroom, which had an excellent shower. Breakfast was splendid, served by Hannah in their lovely breakfast room. All in all, I highly recommend Arkleside as a comfortable homely base, for anyone wanting to stay in the Swaledale area.

Parking in the village is a bit challenging if you arrive late. Not the fault of the B & B but the popularity of the village I guess

What a lovely (WARM) guesthouse. Perfect for staying over and just enjoying the area. Very lovely friendly hosts. Can come and go as you please with minimal noise heard late at night (in case you come back from the pub late). Lovely lovely guest house - highly recommend. Very clean. Heating was on (perfect for any wet clothes from a wet days walking). Very clean bathroom with showering pack. Lovely comfy bed. Location is perfect for a get away, nice and central off a very very quiet part of Reeth (not that you get noise!). Views are fantastic - a real gem of a find.

Beautiful character property close to the centre of an amazing village surrounded by the glory of the Yorkshire Dales. Magnificent views from the breakfast room. The hosts were gracious, helpful, professional and cook a grand breakfast!

My husband is tall and couldn't sit on the toilet because of the position of the shower screen. Shower blocked and slight smell of drains. Dealt with when reported.

The guest house was very homely, owner’s Terry and Hannah were very nice. The bed was very comfortable, the room and en-suite were very clean. Breakfast was very good. The village was an amazing wee place. Our car didn’t move from arriving to leaving as everything was on the doorstep.
