Lovely view from a house full of character

We first visited Winnie's View back in 2020 and were very impressed with the house then. We had booked to revisit in 2021 but due to a family emergency that had to be cancelled. We came back in May 2023 and were even more impressed with house. A new very stylish bathroom has been added. The house has good sized bedrooms, is spotlessly clean and well situated overlooking Mevagissey Harbour with close access to the coastal path and walks down to the harbour. Mevagissey is a favourite place to visit for us and Winnie's View makes it even better. We have no hesitation in recommending Winnie's View. Our dog enjoyed the house and garden as well as the local green just outside for an early morning run. We hope to be back soon. Thanks for another memorable stay.

We loved it so much we will be booking again for next year. Such great views and only a 5 minute stroll to the harbour and restaurants and pubs. Great base to explore the area with so many beauty spots within a short drive. We found two wonderful beaches a short distance away where our dog could play off the lead in the middle of summer. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in Winneys View, great views from the home across the bay. Handy welcome pack on arrival. Very handy location for walking into Megavissey, save some energy for the walk back up the steps though and use the benches for rest stop and take in the views. Great week away x

We rally enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the owners was always very clear and the property has everything you could need for an easy and relaxing stay. The view from the house is much better than any photograph can show. We even saw a sturgeon moon rising from the horizon in the east and wonderful sunsets over Mevagissey. The whole place was very clean upon arrival and we used all of the equipment with no problem. Wifi signal was very good and the area was very quiet during night and day. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Mevagissey again.

Play park and large grassy area good for dog run a few yards walk from the house with footpath down to the harbour one way and to a beach the other. House well and thoughtfully equipped. Lots of good places to eat in Mevagissey. Choice of boat trips from the harbour where there was a choir, Morris dancers etc in the evening. St Mawes, Fowey, Eden project all nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay at Winnies View. We have visited Mevagissey several times before but have never had such a lovely view. It is rare to get a house with outdoor space and off road parking so close to the centre of the village.

The house has amazing views from most rooms and balcony overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Our second time staying here and were really pleased with the new downstairs shower room. It is extremely comfortable with everything you could want. Will definitely be staying again!

Lovely stay

Lovely property, fabulous views. Everything we needed. 5 minutes walk down the coast path (with steps) to the centre of Mevagissey; far more challenging walk back up, but I made it every day! We really enjoyed our stay and struck lucky with the weather, managing to sit out on the balcony most days.

This is our 4th stay at this lovely property, and it is the first time we brought family members with us. Thanks to Elsa, the property owner, there was a new shower and deck added which accommodated the extra people. Just off the coastal path and a short 10-minute walk to the village centre and harbour, the location of the property is ideal! We enjoyed a week of Cornwall expedition from this amazing home base, and we will look forward to being here again soon!

The house location is amazing, but we went there during Christmas time. So we hen we check in, the first two nights no heating, no cover on the beds. Anyway , really good place just need better management.

As soon as you walk into the house you are rewarded with some of the most stunning views of Mevagissey. The house was very comfortable and was like a home from home. You can’t go wrong with staying at this lovely place.

This is our second stay at Winnie's View and it is even better now with the new balcony/decked area (& we were very lucky with the weather). Winnie's View is a real home from home - spotlessly clean, cosy and well equipped, with a fabulous view of the sea and the harbour. It's also a great base to explore the area and we visited Charlestown, Gorran Haven, the Eden Project, Trelissick NT gardens amongst others, and went on some wonderful walks. We hope to come back again soon.

It was easy to find. Checkin was easy and owners had left milk and a cream tea for us all. Cottage was well equiped and had picturess views from most of the windows. The balcony was also a little sun trap. Its a steep walk down to the harbour and then coming back up. Check out the restaurants and book as most were filled. But a beautiful location. Would recommend if your mobile great place for hiking to different places.

We had a great time and didn't want to leave. The property was lovely and clean, with everything you need. The view from the balcony was to die for :) We will definitely be booking again, can't wait to go back. xx

The location of the property was ideal for us with a pleasant walk into the village. Loved sitting on the balcony after a day exploring, so peaceful, it is an asset to the property. No complaints at all.

Just returned home from a week here. Accommodation was beautiful with stunning views. We couldn’t have wished for anything nicer. Location was lovely too with just a 10 minute walk to the harbour. ( lots of hills and steps so probably not suitable for those with mobility issues) The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. 2 fridges, washer and tumble drier. We would love to stay here again and would highly to anyone. Thank you

Fantastic property,great facilities ,a proper home from home

It rained a lot! But the holiday home was a lovely base. Very handy for Mevagissey plus visits to Heligan and Eden Project. We would definitely recommend.

Property was in a fantastic position with amazing views from inside the property and on the balcony. Furnished to a high standard with lots of lovely touches. It was lovely to arrive to scones, jam and clotted cream and also a pint of milk. We were a little concerned that the property might be cold, ( weather was quite chilly for May) we arrived the first week, listing shows heating is turned off at the end of April. However, the heating was on , the property was lovely and warm with an amazing shower. Can't rate this property highly enough, would definitely stay again.

I loved everything about staying here! The location is wonderful, the house is warm and welcoming, and Elsa the host is fantastic.

Having always wanted to stay in Mevagissey rather than visit for a day, we had the great pleasure of staying at Winnie’s View in October 2020 for a week. Where do we start!.? Fantastic views through large windows in dining room and through lounge out onto the harbour and also from the glass balcony with its fabulously comfortable chairs, perfect to put your head back for a snooze. You even get a view from the downstairs loo by leaving door open giving you time to contemplate life in general. Kitchen Is fully equipped with all you need including a potato peeler that actually peels! Both double bedrooms we used had stunning views, very comfy beds and bed linen that smelt and felt gloriously fresh. The garden was perfect for our little furry friend, our dog. The footpath opposite leadS to a large open green space perfect for the dog and had a playground for young kids. This same footpath also leads to the coastal path walk to harbour although a very kind neighbour suggested taking the other footpath in windy conditions. Very sound advice as we were not blessed with such good weather given the time of year. We did walk to the harbour to do some shopping and being sensible called back to our husband/son for a lift back! Lots of lovely shops in Mevagissey, you have been warned. Upon our arrival we found a lovely multilevel house overlooking the harbour, it was spotlessly clean & spacious rooms.The coastal path is only a few yards away, leading down past the old Fishermens cottages into the village.... but it's a steep path back once your well fed & watered in one of the local pubs, definitely worth booking ahead as the village does get busy & there's limited space due to Covid restrictions. In summary.... We'd go back in a heartbeat, loved it.

Just spent a great week at Winnie’s View exploring lovely Mevagissey and the surrounding area. The house was lovely and professionally cleaned when we arrived. Which in the current covid situation means a lot. We loved the balcony. What a great space to enjoy breakfast lunch or a little drink in the evening watching the moon rise over the sea. Winnie’s View is a great house with lots of space for a couple, family or friends. Definitely on my “to do again list”.
