The house is tucked to a hill, very quiet, calm and peaceful with great views. It is a place to relax and wind down. The owner is kind and helpful. There was a bottle of wine, pasta and tomato sauce as a welcome present.

Everything was great - two things people should know: you definitely need a car. Down to Vernazza it’s quite a distance - you wouldn’t want to walk - if you have an ebike, that’s perfect. And definitely arrive during daylight because otherwise it’s almost impossible to find the right road.

The house was perfect, with everything you could need, including a fabulous outdoor area and use of a washing machine, which is very convenient when you are traveling for an extended period as we were. Sergio is the perfect host, even providing us with a personal taxi service down into the village and back.

I’m not going to lie and say the location was not slightly challenging, especially as we drove, but it is definitely worth it once you get there.

We enjoyed everything about the house in Vernazza. Sergio was such a great host who drove us daily to and from Vernazza to the guest house (Otherwise, it’s about a 35-40 minute walk). He also gave us delicious vegetables from his garden, including a jar of fresh pesto (it was amazing!!). Frankly, Cinque Terre is VERY busy so we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the guest house and being able to cook our own meals and eat on the porch, which now has an electric umbrella for extra shade. The house is spacious, well-equipped with everything you would need (e.g., cooking supplies, washer/dryer, beach towels) and the air conditioning works very well. The wifi connection works best on the ground floor for those (like us) who need to stay connected.
